Beautiful experience but tour is too long

Good experience. Austria is simply spellbinding in raw natural beauty. Lorant was an amazing guide. 5 stars to him. But the trip is too long, almost 14 hours. It would be better to split the tour in two or skip Melk altogether. Altogether, had a great time and an amazing experience.

It was an amazing trip. Anett was a really nice guide and she told us many intresting things about every place we went to. I also loved her guided tour in Salzburg. The car ride was very pleasant and it was really nice that you got picked up at your hotel and brought back again in the evening. I loved all the places especially Hallstatt was very beautiful and perfect to get some Lunch. In Salzburg I loved the view from the castle ( a recommendation from Anett). I personally walked up there but it was also possible to use a cable car to get to the top. All in all I loved the trip and can definetly recommend it.

This full day tour has a lot to cover resulting that we didn't have enough time (less than 1.5 hours) in Hallstatt and Salzburg. That is too much for a driver/guide to do in term of driving, parking and guiding us what to see. I would recommend not to stop at Wachau and Melk then we can spend more time in both Hallstatt and Salzburg.

unfortunately, a very imbalanced tour program, we endured 16 hours and spent less than 2 hours in Salzburg. times could not have been respected due to one guide assignes to two vans, Our guide Michael very courtious but weak on tour guide skills. and please make sure a solid transportation is available , our Renauld van was not up to par for this long of a tour. will have to Watch my next Viator tour and ask questions before booking. thank you

Great day trip to Melk, Hallstadt and Salzburg

If you're short of time, it is worth the money covering 3 places in the same day. Our guide Milan (Miloslav) made sure to take care of all details, stopped as often as needed (coffee, bio) even though we needed to complete all 3 spots and return by late night. Hallstadt and Salzburg are picture perfect, and we got lucky as the sun was out all day even though it was cold. Every bit as described in the brochures. Of course, you can choose to spend days at each location and the locals would be more than happy to indulge you! Great trip and highly recommended.

Lovely Day Trip to See So Much!

We loved Wachaun and Hallstatt the most! So beautiful and to be that close to the Alps was spectacular. Salzburg was nice and so much history but we arrived late, restaurants were closed or wouldn’t serve us. What we did see was beautiful. We would like to suggest that the tour guide be educated and knowledgeable of all the stops and in between and share the knowledge while driving through all areas. Beautiful Beautiful ❤️

Places are really beautiful specially hallstat But there are lot of miscommunications. Driver Maria was really awesome in driving, energetic and well behaved as well, but she must be little bit organised more. Two places got missed out melk and wachau

Thank you very much for your review of your trip with us, we are gratefull to hear, you enjoyed Hallstatt. Unfortunately, during your tour, there was Marathon in Vienna with 40 thousands runners, and due to this fact it was really challenging to pick up all travelers on time before the tour departed. We tried our best during this day, hence we had to skip Melk and Wachau to have more quality time in Hallstatt and Salzburg later. We apologize for this situation, it was difficult also for us, when the entire city sort of "locked down". We still hope, you have nice memories from Austria, safe travels.

Overall, our trip was enjoyable and provided an opportunity to meet wonderful people, take a break from Vienna, and appreciate the kindness of our guide. It's evident the company is still finding its footing, reflected in the loose itinerary and the guides' familiarity with the history at the sites. The excursion is quite lengthy, so be prepared for a full day. I noticed our driver/guide seemed fatigued towards the end. For those who prefer a fast-paced tour hitting numerous stops, this itinerary would suit them well. However, I lean towards savoring each destination, making the rushed pace less enjoyable for me. In terms of suggestions for improvement, it felt like the river stop/Wachau segment could be omitted, as it was merely a brief stop with minimal exploration, which could allow for more time elsewhere. Additionally, the van used for the six-hour round-trip drive felt cramped, especially compared to a previous tour I took that offered a larger van equipped with amenities like wifi. Given the duration of the journey, a more spacious and comfortable transport would enhance the overall experience. Another idea to save time is to have everyone gather at a meeting point for take-off in the morning. Driving around to pick everyone up and park took an hour. Dropping everyone off at their hotel at the end of the day makes sense with how dark and late it is by the time we got back. While this may be an unpopular opinion, we found that Salzburg resembled a smaller Vienna, but more condensed and crowded. We felt the town could be skipped since we didn’t feel the need to go there just for the Mozart landmarks. Something for others to consider in the future. We would have loved to have spent more time in Hallstatt. These personal preferences aren’t something I’m knocking the tour company for. Just advice to those considering day trips outside of Vienna.

This is a nice tour. Luront was a wonderful tour guide. The day is a bit long so the only feedback I would suggest is to removed the Melk stop. Everything else is perfect! I would recommend this tour - beautiful sites

It was a great tour! The first stop (the river) could easily be skipped and the extra time given to Hallstatt. The Abbey was very interesting to see, I enjoyed tasting the wine. It was also a great way to get to know the other people on the tour. Hallstatt was gorgeous! Could’ve used a little more time there to do the skywalk. However, it was short and perfect. The last stop of Salzburg was very interesting. The guide listened to the group and adjusted the tour according to the people. Be aware that it is a VERY long day, bring snacks in the morning as the first time you can get food is in the town of Hallstätt around 12 (or later).

I had an amazing day on this trip to Halstatt/Salzburg. My guide Maria was lovely and very insightful, and she made the trip an absolute joy. My highlight had to be when in Halstatt, just the most beautiful village surrounded by mountains. Do be warned however that this is a very long day out, as you make stops on your way to Salzburg but then from Salzburg you drive straight back to Vienna which was a struggle given it was a very hot day and we did not leave Salzburg until around 8pm. It may be better to move some of the destinations attended to the journey back to break this up a little bit.

Everything thing about the trip was amazing. Hallstatt Sky walk was the stand out. The view of the Austrian Alps was out of this world. I would have loved to stay at Melk Abbey and Saltzburg a little longer. But this provides a reason to return to Austria.

Motorista muito educado e cauteloso porém nao havia guia nenhuma, o itinerário foi feito de forma errada de modo que as principais atividades a serem visitadas estavam fechadas qdo chegamos a Salzburgo (inclusive a principal-a casa de Mozart)… e as orientações sobre horarios da mina de sal de Hallstatt foram dados de forma errada e compramos ingresso na hora e não pudemos visitar pois não havia tempo habil. Tambem não houve visita a Wachau (vinho), somente tomamos um copo (de plastico descartável) do vinho dessa região aberto no porta malas da van… Resumindo… experiência pessima pra um dia inteiro de passeio…

Ofrecen falsamente una excursion en español, el dia de antes contacta el chofer/guia para concretar la hora de recogida, a lo que le digo que si habla español y me contesta que no, toda la tarde esperando una solucion, que nunca ofrecen, bueno si me ofreció una solucion: quizas la otra pareja de españoles si sabian ingles... porque claro yo pago casi 400 euros en una excursion cn guia en español para que me traduzca si es posible y quiere, otro turista... A menos de 12 horas de salida de la excursion, la cancelen, quedandome sin actividad. Nada recomrndable contratar con esta compañia.

La excursión fue una maravilla, las paradas en tiempo fueron perfectas, no se hace nada pesado y el guía, se adaptó muchísimo al grupo y nos explico adecuadamente las atracciones turísticas. El viaje muy cómodo en una furgo de 7 personas, súper recomendable. Si estás dudando entre que excursión hacer y tienes pocos días este es súper recomendable
