  • Skip-the-line tickets to Hofburg include timed entry so you don't have to wait in line for your tickets. Admission is for the Sisi Museum and the Imperial Apartments.
  • Be aware that the corridors in the Sisi Museum are narrow, so you will need to stay close to the guide.
  • Admission to the Gardens is for free parts of the courtyards, Heldenplatz and Burggarten. In case of extreme weather conditions, visiting the outdoor areas may be restricted but the tour will continue as planned. The gardens are not green or lit up in winter, so it’s best to book a morning tour. The gardens are most beautiful in spring, summer & autumn.

Great Guide. Museum too crowded

Our guide Alexander was amazing. He was so passionate about the stories he shared and was a wealth of Austrian history. Nothing he did was scripted. He knew his stuff. My only complaint was that the museum was wall to wall people which made me very uncomfortable, even with an assigned entry time for our group. The groups were not really spread out. No surprise, two days later, I tested positive for Covid. Not a fun way to finish vacation.

Interesting but disappointing

The design of the Sisi Museum is very narrow and not conducive to groups of 25 people. The tour guide Alex was very knowledgeable (perhaps spoke a little too much), but it was difficult to hear him in some spots. As a minimum the tour needs headsets for all guests as many other tours do.

Learning about Sissi, and her amazing life but it was horrible the way she was murdered. Also if you’re going on the English tour ask for Peter as your guide!

Too many people for this tour. We would have been better of getting the self audio tour. The Sisi is too cramped and the group is too large for this tour. Half the size may have been more tolerable.

Wolfgang was an OUTSTANDING host. His knowledge and explanation of Emperor Jose, the Austrian Empire, Maria Theresa, Queen Sisi and Austria during the Austro-Hungarian Empire was incredible! I will seek him out foe his other tours and highly recommend this your as long as you can get Wolfgang Auinger.

This tour was very disappointing. The Sisi Museum isn’t really conducive to 20+ people tour groups as the aisles are narrow and there are numerous other tours and museum goers. You couldn’t really see the rooms and displays. The rest of tour of the Hofburg Palace was walking around outside and seeing the outside of buildings…I wish it had included a visit inside a building such as the library. Only the interesting and often humorous commentary by our guide, Michael made it a little worthwhile.
Unfortunate flood in Hofburg

We were unlucky due to the fact that there was a flood in the courtyard of Hofburg,but we found the tour too crowded .I feel like they let too many people in.The tour guide however was very knowledgeable and informative.

This is a great tour. However our guide and he guests did not have headsets. The area is very crowded and close and headsets would have permitted the guide to discuss with all guests to hear while continuing through the exhibit. The lack of headsets was a disservice for the guide. As hard as she tried to keep us all together so we could all hear the layout of the exhibit just does not permit. Most of the other guests used a handheld recording device which caused them to stop, listen and view while others tried to proceed. Still very interesting. Also no air conditioning and not much air movement equipment.

Our tour guide was just amazing! We didn’t even realize how long we were with her. It went by so quick! She was so knowledgeable, patient, and truly loves her job. Her humor and insightful secrets about the royal family made this experience perfect. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

There was no audio as it was promised, and we could not hear the guide, so it was really waste of time and money to have a guide. You can save money and get one of those audio yourself.
