First, I want to give a shout out to Glenn our guide who was amazing, knowledgeable, friendly, can’t say enough good things about Glenn. The tour was fantastic. I loved the island, the wines were outstanding. All the presentations were really well done. Next trip to Auckland I’ll try to stay on the island. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to get out of the city and see a beautiful place.

Great day at the Wineries

From the moment we were greeted by Michael we knew it would be a fun day. We went to 4 wineries. All were very good. There was definitely enough wine and food! Michael shared lots of information in between wineries. Highly recommend this tour!

My wife and I were very pleased with this tour. Our guide/driver was very knowledgeable, the tour group size was perfect, the wineries were the right size to allow discussion and the lunch was enjoyed by all.

Great tour that covered a lot of ground (4 wineries), and a good amount of food and drinks. Michael was our lovely tour leader - he was fantastic, sharing knowledge, stories and laughs throughout the day, and making the drives in between destinations all the more enjoyable. Where we were running early he would take us to other stop off points for lookouts etc as well. We particularly enjoyed our experience at Batch Winery. However, the venue we visited for lunch (Stonyridge) was underwhelming from a service perspective - despite constant requests for service and information regarding our lunch platters (including dietary requirements), the staff were dismissive and didn't appear to want us there / want to serve us (long wait times, undertrained junior staff members, and unattentive function managers). Michael was active in gathering feedback from the group in relation to this which we really appreciated. As a result we still highly recommend this tour, however hope they change the location for lunch going forward to a winery that appreciates good business!

Nick was a fantastic tour guide and offered a ton of insight around the wineries as well as commentary about the island as we went. The food was overall good as well, the only reason this isn’t higher rated is the first winery was very sales focused without tasting that good, and our luncheon service left a bit to be desired. The other two wineries were lovely though and had excellent pairings.
