We had the most incredible time touring temples and other Yogyakarta landmarks with Adit. Adit and his colleagues were very proactive and professional in establishing tour pick-up plans with us and coordinating everything thorughout our day-long itinerary. During our tour, Adit shared the history of each site and threw in some general cultural informaiton that helped us better understand the historical and ongoing religious, social, and polical climate in Indonesia. Adit connected with us like a welcoming, old friend, with the love for his country's history and culture showing through at every turn. He served as the lead coordinator and driver on our tour, shepherding us to different local site guides at each attraction. He navigated the ticket processes and parking seemlessly at each venue so our wait times were minimal.
Both temples we visited were breathtaking. Naturally, temple sites are not shaded, so sunscreen here is a must! The sunrise spot was worth the upkill trek, although proper footwear is recommended as the stone steps got a bit slippery with the morning dew. Temple views from the site are not perfect (i.e the temple is a bit far away), but the chicken church and surrounding hills make for a nice views and photos. The volcano jeep tour was satisfactory, although not anything special. Views of the volcano were obscured by fog, so we "off-roaded" in a river (i.e. large puddle) for a few minutes. The restaurant Adit and the company chose for our lunch was delcious, although clearly catered toward western tastes and comforts.
All in all, we really enjoyed this tour. The tour didn't feel especially rushed and we had the necessary freedom to explore each site and take tons of photos. It was a convenient way to see the major sights around Yogyakarta in comfort and in good company.

That trip was really good. I went for a day trip with Purnomo. He's a great guide. Knows a lot about sites we have been about also general pots we passed by.

This tour was incredible! Everything is included in the price, which is so nice because you don’t have to worry about getting tickets or wasting any time in line because the guide will purchase all tickets for you or already purchased them in advance. Bring enough local currency to purchase food, snacks, drinks, and souvenirs because most places won’t accept cards since it’s in a smaller village. Also, there may be times you’ll have to pay 2000IDR to use the toilet, bring some tissues if you don’t want to use the bidet. If you’re doing the sunrise tour, there is a small coffee shop heading up to the view for a quick stop for breakfast and coffee (there’s food at the next stop too!). The sunrise is a hit or miss depending on the season, but I personally thought it was worth it because there wasn’t much of a crowd early in the morning and I was able to soak in the nature a bit longer. When going to the Borobudur Temple, you will want to bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and plenty of water. You will get plenty of time at each attraction and the guide(s) will help take your photos. The lunch spot (Opak Resto) is already picked out and has plenty of vegan/vegetarian options. This place accepts card.
Aditya H. was an absolute amazing guide! He was so kind, knowledgeable, curious, social and outgoing. I was the only one on his tour due to the low season and it was amazing to get to know him on a more personal level, rather than just my tour guide. He can have a conversation about anything and everything, while also answering any questions you may have about the attractions, culture, food, and Indonesia in general. He goes above and beyond to make this a memorable trip. I’d book any trip with him again! He made my day so much more fun and enjoyable, it truly felt like I was traveling with a friend when I was with him. I highly recommend him as your guide for this tour!

Both temples and guides were very knowledgeable and shared a great deal of knowledge about the cultures and structures. Merapi ended up being a fun keep ride and the keep driver was very interesting but…..you could not see Merapi! I can’t really hold that against the tour but for what we got out of it, I think had we known we would have skipped it due to the drive time and whatever additional cost was included.

The informatio is missleading and you will feel you are wasting your time and money. First of all they will merge you in a group of 5 people so if they are late you need to wait, after the sunrise in the mountain, you arrive to borobudur temple where you need to wait half an hour to enter. While you wait you can eat in disgusting restaurants.
Once you enter the temple, you need to wait an hour until the entrance to the upper part of the temple is available, while you wait you can visit the bottom part. You will feel like a fool going and coming back to meet your guide. After another 30 minutes waiting for your guide the merge you with a 20 people group to visit the temple.
Later you will go to the most overrated experience ever, going in a jeep in normal roads for another hour. It's a complete waste of time. Lastly you go to the prambanan temple to visit it where here I think we had a private guide because we complained.
Avoid this package and use grab to go only to the temples, you will have a real private tour and save a lot of money and most precious the time

1. You choose the package trip (Setumbu hill sunrise, Borobudur temple, Merapi volcano and Prambanan temple) we write the general information in the body of description and write the specific information in the include , exclude and additional information poin, if guest needs the detail information we give the information there. It declares obviously : this is we put at body of discription
“We will visit 3 the best destination at Yogyakarta, this is about heritage and adventure: Included TICKET CLIMB TO THE TOP BOROBUDUR TEMPLE. Mingle with a small group that consist of maximum 5 person to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Borobudur sunrise.”
We must book 1 day before for special guided here, we give you coz all of you from spain and if you got guided can speak Spanish fluent will easy to understand about destination and will more memorable about destination.
If You recommended to online driver G__b, this is will so difficult Visit 3 destination and mostly driver cannot speak English. And for all entrance ticket also need book 1 week ago for get climb to top Borobudur.
FYI, every foreign tourist does hopefully to climb the Borobudur temple to the top.You are,the lucky one. It is limited per day to climb to the top temple. And to book the ticket, we have to arrange 1 week before.

I have been joining day tours in different countries via Viator for years and this is by far the best one! Our tour guide Adit is amazing, very funny and attentive and gives good and interesting background and history to the sites we go. Logistics well planned out too. The other solo travelers in the tour are very lovely to hang out with too.

I've booked this tour months in advance and had specifically booked the Borobudur Temple Sunrise which starts at 4am. To my disappointment, there was no temple sunrise so this was a massive blow from the get go. Massive false advertisement.
Also, we had no tour guide but simply a glorified driver who took us to places with hardly any explanation about the history on the places we were going to. He just gave us basic info which a basic Google search would probably help better. He never joined us during the tour but would head back upon entry of each place of interest. This left us in the dark. There was also that long 2km walk in the mid morning under 34C heat at Borobudur exit. No one told us about this long walk back.
Borobudur Temple and all the tourist spots we wanted to see in this tour was beyond amazing. Truly magnificent - you can't fault it, but we could have easily booked a taxi to take us there for a day and the experience would probably be just the same.

If You recommended to Taxi Driver. this is will so difficult Visit 3 main destination far each other and mostly taxi driver cannot speak English. And for all entrance ticket also need book 1 week ago for get climb to top Borobudur.
our Driver will assist all about ticket please note there will be an extra fee you hire a local temple guide, as your driver as guide will not enter the temple (or any attractions)*

We were disappointed with this tour. First of all, the tourism agency needs to update the cover photo of this ad, as since the pandemic it is no longer possible to watch the sunrise from the temple. Instead, they take you to a view point. It was very disappointing, plus we were unlucky because it was cloudy. After seeing the sunrise, they finally took us to the Borobudur temple, but when we got there we had to wait 1h30 for the temple to open. I thought it was poorly thought out...my suggestion is that in the meantime the agency could offer a breakfast our another activity. After the temple we went to see the volcano. From there we asked our driver to take us for lunch (it was super late. 2:30pm) and he took us to a delicious local restaurant with a beautiful view of the rice plantation. Afterwards we went to see the last temples, but without a guide. We felt lost.
About our driver, he was friendly, helpful and spoke good English.
I don't recommend this tour. It can be done on your own.

Our driver have offering you go to breakfast at small restaurant inside Borobudur area or go to other temple, but you choose go to yard / bottom of Borobudur temple open 7 am, Climb to top Borobudur session 1 (08:30).
Distance every single destination little bit far around 1.5 hours. and recommendation restaurant with good HACCP only few.
