How to get there

Guided tours of Barossa Valley that depart from Adelaide usually provide roundtrip transportation. If you’re exploring on your own from Adelaide, head north along route M2, which turns into National Highway A20 around Gawler. Wolf Blass is located in Nuriootpa and is about an hour’s drive. You can also reach Barossa via public transit (train and bus), but driving is preferred. Of course, drink responsibly if you’re behind the wheel.

When to get there

The visitor center is open Wednesday–Sunday, 10am–4:30pm, and closed Mondays and Tuesdays. The best time to visit Barossa Valley is during harvest in the fall (March–May). The weather is usually mild and sunny then, plus the Barossa Vintage Festival occurs during that time.
