2,194 reviews

The Pacific Coast Highway—also known as PCH or, more commonly, Highway 1—runs north-south along most of the United States’ West Coast. The incredibly scenic California stretch is known for its oceanfront locales, rugged cliffs, hidden coves, and numerous beaches, making it one of the nation’s most popular road-trip routes. From San Francisco to San Diego and the many charming stops in between, it’s truly one of the most naturally beautiful places on the planet to take a drive.

Gorgeous Drive
The tour narration was great! Our only issue was finding the tour start point. Very confusing. We later realized we didn’t need to start at the beginning. Was still confusing! Once we were on it was excellent! We ate at Nepenthe, expensive, but we’ll worth it!

Breathtaking Views!
The view of the water, mountains, & bridges. Started out foggy in Spanish Bay but that was very cool. By the time we entered Carmel/Big Sur the sun was out & landscape gorgeous.

Great value
App made it possible for us to listen to back stories and look out for places of interest. Well worth the price.

Tour had large voids...
Tour had large voids during the trip. I’d suggest filling them with some local info & flair. Also, might be helpful to give more lead-up notice when approaching a site. There were a few that we would’ve like to have to have stopped at, but not enough notice to decide if it was worth our while until we were actually passing the landmark.
