This small-group (10 people or less) guided hike through California's most diverse ecosystem spans both cultural and natural history, exploring how ancient Rome, gold-rush settlers, and the native 'Iipay-Tiipay-Kumeyaay peoples are connected to wildfires, grizzly bears, native bees, and more.
Cypress is a locally trained naturalist with a deep understanding of San Diego's wildlife and the conservation challenges it faces. She is a Certified Interpretive Guide, and is Wilderness First-Aid Certified, making her tours safe, fun, and truly accessible for people of all ages and interest levels.
