The basics

The Iziko South African National Gallery regularly rotates its permanent collection to showcase different exhibits of paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings, prints, beadwork, textiles, and architecture. The permanent collection is supplemented by a regular series of temporary exhibitions, particularly those focused on contemporary South African and African artwork. The museum can be visited independently, though it’s also included on some sightseeing tours of Cape Town, including tours focused on the City Center and art.
