The Dam Sen Water Park is a popular attraction with locals, and fun and refreshing for travelers, especially those with kids in tow. The area is large, so even when it’s busy it doesn’t feel too crowded. Lifeguards are on duty throughout the park, and high safety standards mean parents should feel confident taking their kids here. Travelers normally visit the park independently, whether it’s for a couple of hours or a whole day.
For safety reasons, many of the rides and waterslides are restricted to children taller than 4.5 feet (1.4 meters).
Kids under 2.6 feet (80 centimeters) tall and seniors over 60 years enter the park free of charge.
Ticket prices go down after 4pm.
Lockers are available to store clothes and personal items.
The Waterpark Restaurant serves food at reasonable prices.
The park is about a half-hour drive from central Ho Chi Minh City. While local buses do travel near the park from the central city, it’s easiest to take a taxi.
The park is open seven days a week. It’s especially popular during the summer and Vietnamese school holidays, as well as weekends. Visit outside of these times for a quieter experience.
The Dam Sen Cultural Park next door is a dry park that will also appeal to the whole family. There are theme park rides (such as a roller coaster), a train ride, a small zoo, an aquarium, a botanical garden, and a Roman square with a musical water and light theater. The Cultural Park requires a separate ticket from the water park.
