Located in Miller Park in Bloomington, the zoo is easiest to reach by car. From Veterans Parkway, take the Main Street exit and turn right onto Main Street, then turn left onto Wood Street. You’ll see Miller Park on your left.
The zoo is open daily from 9:30am to 4:30pm. Ideally, time your visit to coincide with an animal feeding or two—check the zoo’s website for hours.
While the zoo is the main attraction, the rest of Miller Park also has plenty to do—free of charge. Cool off in the elaborate splash park filled with slides and kiddie pools. Or, head to nearby Miller Park Lake for fishing, paddleboating, and picnicking opportunities.
