My husband and I loved...
My husband and I loved getting to tour and learn more about the animal sanctuary. Our guide Carlos was very informative and we could tell he loves what he does. If you're going to do the tour I 100% recommend including the volunteering piece as getting to build lunch and toys for the animals was such a fun expierence!

Incredible Experience
We went in 2 groups of adults and children, ages 8, 10, 11 and 16. Our guide has a passion for the animals and the work he does at the centre. Learning about how the animals ended up with them was heartbreaking but the way they’re cared for and prepared for release back to the wild is amazing. As an added bonus, after the tour we prepared meals for the animals and delivered them to their cages. It was a wonderful addition to our learning experience. We highly recommend this tour.

Very Informative Tour of an Animal Sanctuary
We had an excellent, informative tour with Carlos as our guide. He shared so much knowledge about the work of the preserve and efforts to assimilate the animals back into the wild whenever possible. Great educational experience! Carlos also injected humor which definitely kept everyone's interest.

A great learning experience!
Our guide was funny, engaging, and FULL of knowledge. Another person in our group asked a lot of questions and he was open to answering every single one. He explained the many steps in the process of rehabilitating the different animals. This was a great tour for anyone of any age and a great way to see and hear the stories of the many beautiful animals of Costa Rica. My one tip would be to bring bug spray but if you forget or don't have any, they have some for sale there as well.
