Standing 1,149 feet (350 meters) above the Las Vegas Strip, STRAT Tower is the tallest observation tower in the United States. From the top, visitors enjoy 360-degree views of Las Vegas from an observation deck, aboard thrill rides, or over a drink or meal at one of several bars and restaurants.

A collection of boutique shops and eateries created from shipping containers, Downtown Container Park has become a favorite Las Vegas attraction since it opened in 2013. The open-air shopping center surrounds a courtyard with a play zone for kids and a stage that hosts live music and events.

The Venetian® Resort on the Las Vegas Strip recreates the romantic experience of a gondola ride down the Grand Canal of Venice, Italy. Travelers can glide down the replica canals under graceful bridges, passing striking architectural structures as well as the hotel's Grand Canal Shoppes in the duplicated Venetian streetscape.

Bryce Canyon National Park showcases the red rock canyons and rugged horizon-stretching vistas that make Utah famous. With a variety of otherworldly geological formations, Bryce Canyon is an active traveler's playground, crammed full of pinnacles, steeples, spires, and hoodoos, which are thin eroded rock formations that reveal sedimentary layers of red, orange, and white.

The Valley of Fire, Nevada’s oldest state park, covers 34,880 acres (14,115 hectares) of red rock formations, sandstone cliffs, dramatic canyons, and peaceful valleys. Some of the park’s most famous features include the ancient Moapa petroglyphs at Atlatl Rock and the 3-mile (4.8 kilometer) Fire Canyon hike, which shows off the colorful sandstone that gives the park its name. The 550-foot rotating observation tower at the heart of LINQ in Las Vegas is far from your normal carnival Ferris wheel. Climb aboard the glass-enclosed pods—home to music and video displays, as well as thousands of LED lights—and admire the view from one of the world’s largest observation wheels as it completes a full 30-minute rotation.

Located just outside Las Vegas, inside the Lake Mead National Recreation area, Fortification Hill attracts serious hikers looking to conquer the 6-mile (10-kilometer) round-trip trail to the top, where they’re rewarded with panoramic views of the lake and Hoover Dam. The property has more than 1,700 slot machines ranging from 1¢ to $100 per play. Table game favorites such as baccarat, blackjack, craps and roulette can be found throughout the casino. The largest hotel in the world when it opened in 1993, the MGM Grand is a Las Vegas mainstay known for its green façade and original “old Hollywood” theme. It’s one of the busiest hotels on the Strip with thousands of rooms and dozens of restaurants, bars, and live entertainment venues.

Shaped like a pyramid and modeled after the tombs of ancient Egypt, the Luxor Hotel & Casino has been a Strip staple since opening in 1993. Though still guarded by a statue of the Great Sphinx, the hotel was renovated in 2008 to update some of the Egyptian decor with more modern interiors.

The museum has collected more than 200 discarded signs—including those from the Stardust, Moulin Rouge, Desert Inn, Aladdin and Flamingo—memorializing Las Vegas’ history and culture while also preserving an art form for which Las Vegas is famous.

Treasure Island used to be famous for greeting guests with its show of swashbuckling pirates. The free performance ended in 2013, but a rowdy, fun attitude (and two life-sized ships) remained. The hotel now has a sleeker appearance, thanks to the multilevel shopping mall and exhibit area that replaced the performance space.
