Lecce is famous for its sumptuous baroque architecture, and the Lecce cathedral (Duomo di Lecce) is one of the most ornate examples. Its magnificently carved and adorned Leccese-stone facade is a 17th-century masterpiece and one of the highlights of this city on Puglia’s Salento peninsula.
Anna was very knowledgable, explained everything from Lecce’s history in a very detailed way but at the same time very funny and entretaining!
I would definetly recommend!
Max was an excellent, knowledgeable guide, able to communicate a wealth of knowledge. His explanations of the Jewish museum and the Cathedral were most helpful in understanding the nuances of these historic buildings.
We enjoyed our one-hour rickshaw tour with Deanna. She was a lovely tour guide and took us to several sights in the city that we had not found on our own. We had just a little free time one afternoon after returning from another city tour in Otranto, so this was the perfect way to spend the afternoon. Booking was easy and everything was as advertised. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed the rickshaw experience, it was our first day in Lecce and it gave us a great orientation to the city. Our guides Luna and Herve were informative and fun.
Enjoyable cultural tour round historic district by bicycle .Antonio the guide was friendly and knowledgeable. It was good sampling some local snacks on the street food part of the tour
Loved learning about Lecce especially the synagogue and Roman forum. Also
loved learning about the Baroque style carved in soft limestone. So intricate! So beautiful!
Cynthia (sp?) was a wonderful guide and shared so many interesting facts about Lecce and the important monuments. I really enjoyed the tour and riding a bike was enjoyable & provided a nice breeze on a hot day.
