The Hill of Glory is located around three miles (five kilometers) west of downtown Mendoza, and is a 15-minute drive from the city. It’s possible to visit the Hill of Glory at any time of day or night. Most tour groups arrive around mid-morning or mid-afternoon, but for the most atmospheric views, time your arrival to coincide with sunrise or sunset.
The Hill of Glory is located in the 1,240-acre (500-hectare) San Martin Park, so it’s worth leaving time to explore the green space. Tree-lined walkways, playgrounds, and a sprawling lake are among the highlights, and there’s also a number of fountains and monuments dotted throughout. The park is also home to the Natural Science Museum, the Estadio Malvinas soccer stadium, and Mendoza Zoo, plus a golf course, horse-riding center, and tennis courts.
