Tiffany & Co. dates back to 1837, when Charles Tiffany and John B. Young opened a store selling lady’s jewelry and watches. Forty years later, the company rose to fame when it purchased what is now known as the Tiffany Siamond—a 128-karat, fancy yellow diamond that is considered one of the world’s finest gemstones. (Movie fans will remember that it was set into a necklace worn by Audrey Hepburn in promotional shots forBreakfast at Tiffany’s.)

The store is open all year round, from late morning until early evening Monday–Saturday and from noon until early evening on Sundays. The store is closed on some major holidays. If you’re looking for a specific service, like personal shopping or a diamond consultation, book in advance.
