The basics

The four different slopes of Hunter Mountain are serviced by 13 different lifts. Beginner trails and most amenities like a rental shop, dining, and slopeside lodging are located near the base village in Hunter East, while lifts that service more advanced terrain are located on Hunter North and West. A snow tubing hill with a carpet lift is a great option for kids and those who prefer not to ski or snowboard.

For city dwellers yearning for a day on the slopes without the hassle of driving, private and group day trips from New York City depart regularly. Some include equipment rental packages and lift tickets. When the snow melts, summertime activities include hiking, horseback riding, golf, Jeep tours, and a zipline course.
