The magnificent sand-colored structure of Kasbah Amridil provides a glimpse into the country’s past, with its restored domestic spaces as well as a museum. You can learn about Moroccan heritage through viewing impressive handmade tools, historic wells, traditional bread ovens, and even an ancient olive-oil press. While you may choose to explore independently, local guides are also available to enhance your experience.

There is also a lovely guest house and café right next door to the kasbah.
Skoura is the closest town, with many restaurants and accommodation options available.
Amridil is located a short walk off the well-traveled “Road of the One Thousand Kasbahs” between Erfoud and Ouarzazate. The local bus network is somewhat limited in the region, so the easiest way to get around is by taxi. You can easily take a private taxi or a shared grand taxi from Skoura.
The best time to visit this part of Morocco is during the spring and fall months, when the weather is mild and enjoyable, particularly between March and April and again in September to November. This also means you'll avoid the hot days and cold nights of the summer and winter periods, which can get extremely uncomfortable for exploring the desert.
One of the most unique aspects of Kasbah Amridil is that it's still maintained by the original proprietors, the Nassiri family. Built by their ancestors in the 17th century, the structure has largely remained unchanged (apart from restoration work) through the present. The Nassiri family are still in charge of the upkeep and maintenance and live on-site, creating an authentic experience unmatched by other kasbahs.
