The Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls is located in Iguazu National Park, and admission tickets include access to a network of walkways, affording stunning views over the falls. Some of the best views of the Devil’s Throat are from the Brazilian side—ride the elevator to the top viewing platform for the most impressive lookout—and it’s even possible to fly over the falls in a helicopter. Some tours offer the chance to take in the falls from both sides, with highlights on the Argentine side including boat cruises beneath the falls and hikes through the surrounding rain forest.
Plan to spend at least half a day exploring the Brazilian side of the falls.
The spray from the falls means that you will get wet; pack waterproof clothing and waterproof bags to protect your valuables and camera.
Be sure to check visa requirements for your country if you’re planning to visit both the Argentinean and Brazilian sides of the falls.

Tours to the Devil’s Throat run from Foz do Iguaçu in Argentina, around 19 miles (30 kilometers) from the falls. Regular buses and taxis run to and from Iguazu National Park, about a 45-minute drive.
Though it’s possible to visit Iguazu Falls all year round, the falls are most impressive from December to February, when increased rainfall means the cascades are at their most powerful. However, the dryer months of April to June offer better weather for hiking. Whenever you visit, try to time your arrival at the Devil’s Throat for midmorning, when the sun often shines through the mist, creating rainbows above the falls.
While the falls are undoubtedly the star attraction of Iguazu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the park is also a prime spot for hiking. Look out for rare wildlife such as South American tapir, ocelot, and anteater; get your adrenaline pumping with a rafting excursion along the Paraná River; or visit nearby attractions such as the Bird Park or the hydroelectric Itaipu Dam.
