Xetulul Theme Park is located in the Retalhuleu department, in southeastern Guatemala, about 100 miles (160 kilometers) from Antigua and about 115 miles (185 kilometers) from Guatemala City. Expect about 3-4 hours on the road. From Antigua, take the bus to Mazatenango and take a short taxi ride the rest of the way. From the capital, take a bus to Quetzaltenango; the park is an additional 45 minutes away.
Xetulul Theme park is open from 10 am till 6 pm from Friday to Sunday. On Thursday the park opens at 10 am and closes at 4 pm. To beat the crowd, avoid visiting on weekends and the local holidays
Inside the theme park is the largest water park in Guatemala. Designed around a Mayan pyramid replica, this world-class aqua park has 14 water slides, four pools and two wave pools, one for adults, and one for kids. Adventure seekers will love Xibalba, which features two slides with fast high-speed free falls. Avoid lines and guarantee admission by purchasing tickets in advance.
