Every July, classical music fans descend on the auditorium en masse for Campos do Jordão International Festival, for which advance booking is essential. Regular concerts and cultural events are held throughout the year at the intimate venue, which is renowned for its acoustics and the glass-panelled walls that flood the theater with natural light. The Claudio Santoro Auditorium is located four miles (six kilometers) west of Campos do Jordão, along the Floriano Rodrigues Pinheiro (SP-123) highway. No public transport serves the auditorium, but you can take a taxi or drive from town; there’s plenty of parking on-site. Shuttle buses run to the venue during the Campos do Jordão International Festival and coincide with show times.
The most popular time to visit is during the winter Campos do Jordão International Festival in July. Alternatively, keep an eye on the monthly schedule for upcoming events and performances. The auditorium is open to visitors of the museum from Tuesday-Sunday, morning to early evening, year-round; entrance is free on a Sunday.
The masterwork of Polish sculptor Felicia Leirner, the Felicia Leirner Museum is a tranquil space that marries art and nature. And open-air sculpture park set amid lush forest and scenic walking trails lined with wild orchids and bromeliads, the museum is home to around 85 of the artist’s sculptures, which are made from bronze, white cement, and granite.
