The basics

Book tickets to an event at the Historic Savannah Theatre to combine art with history and entertainment with sightseeing. This landmark dates back to 1818 and has seen luminaries, including historical figures like Oscar Wilde, take the stage. The theater is a popular stop on walking tours of Savannah, including nighttime ghost tours, scavenger hunts, and sightseeing tours, but the best way to experience the venue is by attending a show. You should absolutely do it
Did the tour with Cat and John and it was really cool. Having access to all the paranormal equipment was a treat. The theatre is super freaky and DEFINITELY haunted. Had a great time.

The Forrest Gump bench at Chippewa Square

Many people attempt to combine a visit to the Historic Savannah Theatre with a stop at the famous bench from the film Forrest Gump. But while Chippewa Square was the location for these famous scenes, the bench is no longer in the square. Check out this landmark to see the film’s backdrop, but don’t expect to see the bench where you might expect to find it.
