The Annaberg Sugar Plantation is a partially restored but the most intact sugar plantation in the Virgin Islands. It keeps the memory of the grueling times in 1717 when slaves were forced to work on the plantation which resulted in a revolt in 1733 that led to the abolishment of slavery. It was discovered and built by Laurence Rockefeller in 1956 while sailing on a family cruise.
