The Basics

The fantastically Baroque Palais Rohan has three museums. Within the former Cardinal apartments on the ground floor, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs displays 17th- to 19th-century furnishings, sculptures, jewelry, and ceramic. In the basement, the Musée Archéologique exhibits significant prehistoric and medieval artifacts from local excavations. And upstairs is the Musée des Beaux-Arts where you can admire works by Rubens, Rembrandt, Renoir, and Monet.

An essential stop on walking tours, choose between a private or group tour, which includes top attractions within the UNESCO-listed Grande Île such as the Cathedral of Notre Dame and the fantastically picturesque La Petite France neighborhood. Combine a walking tour with a zip around in an eco-friendly electric car following a GPS-programmed route or devise your own itinerary.
