How to Get There

The aquarium is located next to the Punta Mogotes Lighthouse along the seafront Avenida de los Trabajadores, on the south coast of Mar del Plata. Buses (colectivos) run from downtown Mar del Plata to the aquarium, stopping nearby; or else, it’s a short drive or taxi ride from downtown.

When to Get There

The Mar del Plata Aquarium is open daily in summer (December to March) and only on Friday and Sunday the rest of the year. It’s worth checking the daily schedule to avoid missing the show or demonstration that interests you. Weekends and holidays are the busiest times; visit outside of these periods to avoid crowds.
