Oasys Mini Hollywood is packed with things to do, making it a popular family attraction in Almeria. The Western Town area is home to a Cinema Museum, Carriage Museum, and Cactus Garden, with 250 species from around the globe. The zoological reserve offers habitats for 800 animals from 200 different species. The Aquatic Zone offers respite from the heat of the Tabernas Desert with two outdoor palm-lined swimming pools. Visitors can choose between a standard admission ticket or a ticket that includes a meal at the park’s buffet restaurant.
Oasys Mini Hollywood is in the Tabernas Desert, off exit 376 of Highway A-92 or exit 514 of Highway A-7. The best way to get there is by car or taxi.
The park’s hours change regularly depending on the time of year and day of the week (for example, during winter, it’s only open on weekends), so be sure to verify hours prior to your visit. Western shows and can-can dances typically take place twice each day.
During the 1960s and 1970s, more than 100 films—mostly spaghetti westerns—were shot in the Almeria desert, both at Mini Hollywood and at a location less than 2 miles (3 kilometers) away called Fort Bravo or Texas Hollywood. Visitors to Fort Bravo can explore the original sets, including a church, public square, saloon, and American Indian settlement. The fort is still used for film shootings, but it also welcomes visitors, with amenities like a restaurant, souvenir shop, and Old West photo studio.
