At Action Aquapark in Sunny Beach, you control how you want to spend your time there. If you’re after fun and thrills, head to the park’s more adventurous slides, such as the Freefall, where you plummet down a 60-feet (18-meter) drop, or the Black Hole, which runs for a whopping 492 feet (150 meters). For those people who’d prefer to spend the relaxing, there’s the gentle Lazy River ride and the Jacuzzi, where you can just chill out.
Visitors can choose from tickets for a half-day or full-day entrance with free shuttle transport.
There are height restrictions on many slides and attractions, meaning children are restricted to kids' slides or must be accompanied by an adult.
Ticket prices, except for seniors' tickets, are determined by height rather than age.
Some park attractions have a weight restriction, limiting use for patrons over 265 lbs (120 kg).
Food, drinks, and alcoholic beverages are prohibited inside the water park and must be purchased on-site.
During the water park’s open season, there are free shuttles from Sunny Beach to Action Aquapark for ticket holders. Shuttles make stops right along the length of Sunny Beach and run several times an hour. Extra shuttles are available upon request for groups larger than six people for areas outside Sunny Beach, such as Nessebar, Ravda, and Elenite Resort.
As a water park, it’s understandable that Action Aquapark isn’t open year-round. Exact opening days change each year, but the park is generally open during the warmer months, roughly from late May to mid-September. The park can get quite busy and lively by mid-afternoon, so visit early in the day for a more relaxed atmosphere and more choice of where to sit; that said, some pools can take a while to warm up.
The seaside resort of Sunny Beach is home to several water parks, not just Action Aquapark, giving visitors options for where to spend their day and even the opportunity to try multiple places. Aqua Paradise Water Park outside of Nessebar is the other big water park in the area, with slides, raft rides, and more to entertain. Another alternative is the “Pirates of the Caribbean” mini-water park on the road between Sunny Beach and Nesebar.
