There are several paths that wind around the park, including a botanical path and a sculptural path. Children in particular will enjoy the pond, waterfall, and grotto. You can also relax on a shady bench, or enjoy refreshments from the café. You can combine the park with a walk along the seaside promenade, and is easily visited as part of a hop-on hop-off sightseeing tour of the city, or as part of a guided walking, bike, or Segway tour of the city, including day tours from Seville.

The park is located in the northwestern corner of Cadiz, between Paseo Mirador Santa Bárbara and Avenida Doctor Gómez Ulla and Jesús Caido and Plaza Rocío Jurado. The main entrance is located on the southeastern corner at Plaza Rocío Jurado. It’s easily accessible on foot from the historic center.
The park is open daily from early morning until sundown, with extended hours over the summer. It offers a pleasant respite from city life, and is especially pleasant on a warm day, when its many shady areas offer respite from the heat. On summer evenings, shows are held at the outdoor theater.
One of the main sculptures in the park is the “Children Under the Umbrella,” which originated in Paris. Fittingly, there’s also a statue dedicated to Santa Rosa de Lima, the patron saint of gardeners, and to the naturalist Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente. Additional commemorative statues include José Celestino Mutis, the Duchess de la Victoria, and the Battle of Trafalgar.
