The basics

Set amid the heights of the Var region, and located squarely in the center of the Côtes de Provence appellation, the Château Font du Broc is a popular Provençal destination for visiting oenophiles. First bought in 1979 by Sylvain Massa, the château was outfitted with vineyards and premium winemaking facilities over the course of 10 years. Today, it follows organic principles and also harvests its grapes by hand. Its cathedral-like underground cellar, meanwhile, is one of its most special features, and a must-see for wine lovers.

In addition to its wine business, the château also operates a stud farm dedicated to breeding purebred horses. Some of the villa’s rooms are available to rent, and the site also features on a range of Provençal wine tours, making it easy to explore as part of a day-long tasting session.
