The Basics

From older Hong Kongers staying limber in the dedicated tai chi zone to young families feeding koi carp, Hong Kong Park’s bridges, lakes, and paths provide excellent people-watching. Many travelers swing by independently to enjoy the atmosphere before popping up the hill on the Peak Tram. A historical walking tour is a fascinating way to experience the park, which was built on the site of the colonial British Victoria Barracks, occupied by Japanese forces during World War II.

Ways to Escape the City in Hong Kong
