How to get there

Clarendon House is located off route C416, just south of Launceston Airport and the town of Evandale. Because of its rural setting, driving is really the only way to get there, with the drive from Launceston taking roughly 30 minutes. There are no nearby bridges over the South Esk River, so plan your route accordingly.

When to get there

With Clarendon House closed during the winter months of July and August and summer being the high season for tourism in Tasmania, the optimal times to visit this rural estate are the shoulder seasons of spring (September–November) and fall (March–May). Not only will these months present the nicest weather and fewest visitors, but you may also get to see the gardens and park decked out in seasonal colors.
