Because of its location, the Outlet Collection at Niagara is often visited in conjunction with Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, and the nearby Niagara wine region. Some day tours from Toronto make brief stops at the mall while en route to the famous falls. If you want more time to browse and potentially buy, opt for round-trip shuttle transport from Toronto, which will give you the whole day to search the shelves for good-value buys.
Some hotels in Niagara Falls offer complimentary one-way taxi transport to the mall. Niagara bus routes 40 and 45 also stop at the outlets. Driving from Toronto takes about 75 minutes: follow the Queen Elizabeth Way and exit at Glendale Avenue South. Driving from Niagara Falls—also via the Queen Elizabeth Way—takes just 10–15 minutes.
The Outlet Collection at Niagara is open daily until 9pm, except on Sundays when it closes at 6pm. Weekends are busy; go on a weekday for a little more elbow room.
The Outlet Collection is ideally placed about midway between Niagara Falls (the riverfront town where the majestic waterfalls are situated) and Niagara-on-the-Lake (a leafy lakeside town full of 19th-century architecture). If you have enough time, it’s worth taking a cruise out to the falls, as well as stopping at one or two Niagara area wineries, where many well-regarded red, white, and ice wines are produced.
