If you’re visiting the D-Day Landing Beach of Omaha, the Omaha Beach Memorial Museum is an essential accompaniment, providing historical context and insight into the fateful D-Day operation. Through a series of exhibits, dioramas, and videos, learn more about the pivotal Allied invasion that marked the beginning of the end of WWII and browse the large collection of vehicles, weapons, uniforms, photos, and personal effects belonging to the 1st and the 29th Infantry divisions.
Omaha Beach and Omaha Beach Memorial Museum are often included on full-day tours of Normandy’s Landing Beaches from Bayeux. Tours typically include other WWII battlefields, monuments, and memorials, such as the Caen Memorial, Pointe Du Hoc Memorial, Arromanches-les-Bains, and the Normandy American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer.

Omaha Beach Memorial Museum is located at Omaha Beach, 13 miles (21 kilometers) northwest of Bayeux or about a 20-minute drive. The museum is located along Avenue de la Libération, less than a 5-minute walk from Omaha Beach.
The museum is open daily from mid-February through the end of October. Opening hours vary throughout the year, but from June through August, it’s open from morning until early evening. The last entry is an hour before closing.
