The basics

The museum is among the world's largest permanent museums dedicated to the Titanic and has no shortage of interactive experiences: 20 galleries hold hundreds of recovered artifacts, including items belonging to passengers, and offer the chance to sit in imitation lifeboats, play a grand piano similar to the one lost at sea, walk a replica Grand Staircase, and take the wheel on the bridge. You can buy your admission tickets online or in person.

When to get there

Pigeon Forge is a popular travel destination year-round. Visit in (snowy) winter to avoid the crowds and in spring and summer to spend time outdoors. Spring break is often hectic with students visiting the Dollywood theme park and other attractions. The Titanic Museum holds themed public events roughly 1-2 times a month, including “Christmas at the Titanic” and others introducing new exhibits and historical collections.
