Grigore Antipa National Museum of Natural History has eight unique permanent exhibits highlighting Romanian natural history, such as the dioramas in the Black Sea and Danube Delta rooms. Other exhibits focus specifically on wildlife found throughout the country, such as the wild boar found in the marshes, the monk seals only found on Romania’s coast, and the Carpathian deer that play a vital role in the mountainous ecosystem.
Like most museums, the Grigore Antipa has both permanent and temporary exhibitions. The rotating exhibitions have featured topics from the land, sea, and air, such as examining Zoology's history in Romania and the relationship between the Earth and the Moon. Temporary exhibitions also often showcase the natural history of a specific European country, such as natural photography from Slovenia and Russia. Guided tours and self-guided audio tours are available.
