The Basics

Jamestown Glasshouse is located near the original Jamestown settlement. Visit to see the remains of furnaces used by early glassblowers and watch a glassmaking demonstration. As part of the demo, modern glassblowers make one-of-a-kind period reproductions and contemporary pieces, such as wine glasses, vases, and candleholders, using the same techniques and tools as those used by colonial glassblowers. Additional interpreters are available to provide background information and answer questions.

National Park Pass holders receive discounted entry. Week-long combo tickets are available, which include entry to a number of historic sites nearby, such as Historic Jamestowne, Yorktown Battlefield, Jamestown Settlement, the American Revolution Museum, and Colonial Williamsburg.
