    Very efficient service provider was waiting at the airport. Informative drive to accommodation and made us feel welcome to the Cairns district. Would certainly use this service again. No problems and no disappointments, and apart from the unusual weather conditions ( very strong SSE winds), we managed to enjoy the region from Port Douglas to Cairns city. There are plenty of tourist attractions to visit and enjoy and the entire region is a playground for the younger generation. The food outlets are exceptional and we managed to dine at most. a thoroughly enjoyable week.

    Hello Jenny, Thank you for the feedback. It take 30 mins to get from the airport to Palm Cove and we advertise that on our website. But it does appear that you had to wait another hour or so after luggage collected. Without any amplifying information as to when your flight arrived, if it was delayed and you were reassigned another service, it was full, then another service needed, whether you were pre booked or a walk up, we have no details to comment. Suffice it to say, our staff (and we are understaffed) do all they can to get our passengers in and out of the terminal as quickly as possible. And you are right, an upgrade is worth it in the end. We hope you enjoy you stay here.

    Has booked and paid for a taxi. It was for 11pm at Cairns airport however the taxi did not turn up. . Phoned the emergency contact number but it went to answerphone. In the end had to queue at the taxi rank and pay for another taxi

    Hello Janice_M. Thank you for your feedback. On examining your booking closer our records say that on Aug 2 we only received your name and date for your arrival on Aug 5. Your request lacked the all important flight details and your destination. You were emailed Aug 3 through Viator to advise us, we did not receive a response. We also tried to call you on your cell phone Aug 4 to get the details we needed. But we could not get through to you, it sounded like your phone was international. As you can see we did all that we could to amend the problem for you. We take pride in making our client's experience positive, and it was unfortunate that this was not the case for you. We can only ensure seamless transfers if we have all the booking details in the system. Despite your untoward arrival experience we do hope you had a great holiday here.

    We got told there will be a exemplar representative waiting for us at 12:00. 15 minutes went past i called up the office, they said someone will be there soon. 45 minutes later they finally appeared. I understand that sometimes there are delays due to unforeseen circumstances. I would have appreciated a phone call/text/email notifying me they were arriving later than scheduled.

    Disappointing experience

    My partner and I arrived at the airport and we were not on the driver’s list, despite our booking and confirmation. I approached the driver and enquired but he said we were not with him. I ended up speaking to a coordinator from his company who told him to take us. The driver was not interested in resolving the issue. We could have easily already left via Uber at this point had I not persevered and spoken to his colleague. We were taken to a mini bus that was full of passengers that had been waiting for an hour by the time we arrived. They were understandably unimpressed but behaving properly. Despite being packed in like sardines, no one was wearing a mask except me and my partner. After waiting about 15 minutes the driver announced that we were waiting on another couple. Understandably, some other passengers questioned this with the driver given they had already been on the bus for an hour and not moved anywhere. The driver handled the situation poorly from a customer service perspective. While I get that none of the delay was his fault, his management of the unrest was lacking. He mentioned leaving his previous job due to customer abuse (no one had abused him - he was asked reasonable questions by frustrated passengers); and he threatened to kick everyone off the bus and leave us there. I found his approach unacceptable. He then asked everyone to put masks on before we finally left. I don’t see the point of having everyone packed into a small space for an hour without masks, then being told that masks are necessary (my partner and I were wearing our masks regardless). He should have instructed people to wear masks before they entered the bus. WHS responsibilities were not managed correctly on this occasion. Overall I was very disappointed with the experience. I’ll be getting an Uber next time.

    Hello Chris_T. Thank you for your feedback. Without the details necessary to investigate your complaint further such as flight details, date, destination etc. we cannot look at the circumstances surrounding your experience and counsel that particular driver. The driver handled the situation poorly and it looks like we need to train him/them further on situations such as this. It has been very difficult lately with flights changing or being cancelled ad hoc. We are trying to accommodate arrivals as best we can with half the staff and twice the load. Nevertheless, our staff should have contacted you and maintained updates to you and other passengers. Re masks; we have always had a policy that masks are to be worn in our vehicles. This has been in play since the Qld Health Dept mandated it. Since your complaint we have however, reminded our drivers of this requirement and updated our vehicle signage. We apologise for the angst this transfer caused you and do hope you enjoyed you holiday in our region.

    We waited an hour for the driver to arrive only to be told that we weren’t on the manifest. The driver wouldn’t let us on board even though we were showing him our valid tickets. After calling the after hours number multiple times with no answer the driver got hold of the night manager and allowed us to board.

    Hello Erin_W. Thank you for your feedback. You have left out some important details with your booking and your interaction with our driver at the airport, which impacted the whole transfer process. These are the facts from our stand point. We received your incomplete booking from your agent. There were no flight nor hotel details. Prior to your arrival on the 14th we tried to call you, no answer. We tried again on the date of your arrival, no answer. As such we remained ignorant of your arrival details bar your name and date. You arrived at T2 just as our 18.15 service was being collected on the 16th. The driver told you there were three seats available and would check with our manager. The aim was to always take you despite the omissions in your booking. We always do this as a matter of course. The calls made to our off site manager were queued as he had other calls he was attending to. In the meantime, as our driver was loading his trailer, you demanded to get on the bus ahead of other passengers. It is our policy that the drivers load trailers in order of drop off and then they invite passengers to board. The benefits are that the passengers see their luggage loaded safely and the boarding process is completed in an orderly manner. Once he knew where your hotel was, our driver knew you would be dropped off first, therefore your bags had to be loaded last, and hence you were boarded last. Our driver informed us that you insisted three times to board ahead of other passengers and on each occasion he requested you wait so that he could do his job properly. Our driver performed a professional role and managed to get you to you hotel in Palm Cove as planned. We hope this explanation has shed some light on the circumstances surrounding your problematic booking and arrival. We hope you enjoy your stay.
