Behind the scene: The driver was a last-minute replacement, due to the driver was sick. The lady driver did not plan to go out to work that day and in fact we do not work with her. In some cultures, deodorant is not commonly used. We do not have control over personal issues. It was not a good start, we came to be surprised too and affected the tour. Customers can always drop out of the tour and get a refund, we have tried our best to make the tour happen in our normal way and offer a fun tour. You did enjoy the electric open-boat ride, some of you did get to experience driving the boat, unlike other tours that offer big boats.
Lunch time is offered on the tour, you can choose what you want to have for your lunch, according to your budget and taste, but lunch is not included in the tour price.
We offer sufficient tour information including the beautiful story of why Giethoorn is called 'goat horn' and how the little village is developed into a famous 'Venice of NL', artificial lake, dyke, new polders, some fun facts and history of the places we visit, plus extra information from personal experience of the guide. These are interesting topics for most people not from here. If the topics didn't suit you, questions are welcomed so that our professional and experienced guides could tell you what is interesting to you. Which part of the commentary is awkward? We would like know and improve our narration. Appreciate it so much in advance.
