Excellent Tour on a Beautiful Island

This tour of Burano was excellent. Sylvia our tour guide was born and raised on Burano and she was so friendly and passionate about the island. It was one of the best tours we had in Italy.

It was everything we wanted and more!

The best experience we had in Venice. Our tour guide was amazing and provided a very special tour of Burano and gave us information on history of island and tour included areas outside the tourist centre.

What an amazing tour!! My 16 yr old son and I agreed that this was the best tour we did during our 10 days in Italy (Venice/Florence/Rome). Silvia is not only a delightful person, but she really made the island and history of surrounding islands come alive both past and present. If you are anywhere near Burano - DEFINTELY DO THIS TOUR!!

Highly recommend! I was so pleasantly surprised by this tour- such a beautiful place to visit. The tour guide is local to Burano and clearly loves showing it to visitors. I would leave plenty of time after the tour to wander around, eat, relax and enjoy!

Can’t Imagine a Better Tour

Silvia is amazing. We picked the one day that was pouring rain and freezing. My fiancée and I somehow barely noticed in the tour. With Silvia it was like meeting up with a friend who happens to know everything about the city. It was the most natural and interactive feeling tour I’ve ever been on. She clearly loves (and knows seemingly everything, and everyone in) the city. She’s also very prepared and showed up happy to guide; even in the pouring rain - complete with laminated images that helped us understand the history. We could not recommend her more highly.

Extraordinary personal and historical tour, good for all ages

Silvia was an extraordinary guide to Burano, sharing information about the island's history and the ways in which cultural change and climate change are threatening Burano. She also told us stories about her family's life on the island, for four generations. We all learned so much, and felt warmly welcomed to this small, beautiful island. Silvia's tour was fascinating for all ages (our kids are 16, 13, and 10). This tour, and our visit to Burano, were one of the major highlights of our time in Venice!

If you are lucky enough to visit the beautiful island of Burano, please do yourself a huge favor and book this tour. We met Silvia and instantly formed a connection…she is so friendly and so happy! You can tell she is proud of her home! Since she lives on Burano she told us some history, fun facts, and answered all of our questions. I wish we could’ve stayed with her for hours. This was THE BEST part of our vacation for sure. We hope to visit Burano again and meet up with Silvia who feels like an old friend.

Sylvia was wonderful, having grown up in Burano she was able to add personal touches to her discussion of the history of Burano. She takes you to the non touristy places which is a welcome relief from the busy streets.

We had a wonderful time with the tour and the guide was also wonderful. Her knowledge as a four generation native made it more enjoyable. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was we were supposed to see lacemaking in person and we didn’t.

Silvia, our guide was born and raised on the island as were several generations before her. She knows the island inside out which she now shares with her own young family. Locals joined in on our tour along the way adding and real feel for the authenticity of this beautiful island within a lagoon on mystery. Excellent English language guide and can offer you further tours and real in-depth knowledge. Would highly recommend

Sylvia, our guide, gave an excellent tour of her home island of Burano. Although small, the island is gorgeous with lots to do and see. Sylvia adjusted the tour to allow us to take plenty of photos and, at the end, she gave great recommendations for shopping and restaurants. We highly recommend a visit to this quaint, beautiful island and the only way to see it is with Sylvia via this tour!
