Rukshan var den som tog oss till Kandy. Han var i tid när han kom för att hämta oss. Han är en utmärkt förare / guide & tog oss runt på platserna. Vi hade en bra tid på vår turné. Inte dåligt men inte bra

Turföraren var fantastisk, mycket professionell bra arbetsförare! Turnén själv var lite "försäljning" tung med medicinsk trädgård, te fabriken etc, det fanns en känsla av skyldighet att köpa produkter och tips lokala guider under turnén som inte var roligt. Det fanns inte tillräckligt med frihet att njuta av platserna utan de lokala försäljningsargumenten och guiderna, de behövde ge lite utrymme. Jag tror att en genomgång av vilka destinationer man bestämt sig för att besöka under turnén kan hjälpa detta resultat. Men vår förare var väldigt snäll och gav bra råd.

Vilken fantastisk dag, Krish var en fantastisk guide och gick verkligen den extra milen för att se till att jag gjorde allt jag ville göra. Vi hann till och med i tid för att se elefanterna bada vilket verkligen gjorde dagen speciell. Det var verkligen fantastiskt att få reda på Sri Lankas platser och historia och Krish hade allt ordnat från hämtningen - upp en lokal guide att gå runt i tandens tempel med. Både restaurangen för lunch och besöka restaurangen där jag kunde prova den lokalt tillagade maten som verkligen toppade dagen. Det är en lång dag från Columbo men värt det. Rekommenderas varmt när du besöker Sri Lanka.

Denna turné var allt som har utlovats på beskrivningen. Vi började med att besöka en elefantfarm. Du kan rida på en elefant om du vill! För det andra besökte vi tandtemplet. Detta var en mycket berikande kulturell upplevelse att ha. Eftersom jag kommer från ett SAARC-land fick jag rabatt på inträdet :) Därefter gick vi till en örtagård där vi fick utforska ganska mycket om de unika kryddorna i SriLanka. Fjärde på listan var en juvelfabrik som var pedagogisk i rätt mängd. Vi såg en video om hur Jem-stenar utvinns. Det var något som jag tyckte om att lära mig. Vi avslutade dagen med en tur till tesfabriken där vi fick lära oss hur te görs. Vi provade också king coconut, durian och rambhutan vid vårt besök. Guiden var väluppfostrad och gjorde allt för att göra vår resa bekväm

Vår förare och guide, Kalika, passade perfekt för vår resa. Mycket kunnig och hjälpsam under hela dagen och vid varje stopp. Villig att arbeta med våra agendaförfrågningar. Hela dagen var trevlig, från vårt frukoststopp längs vägen till fladdermössen och aporna på väg upp till Kandy. Sedan turnén New Girigama Tea Factory; palatset & Sri Dalada Maligawa eller Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic; promenad i Udawattakele/Kungliga skogen i Kandy med iakttagelser av apor och rådjur; Buddha på kullen - Sri Maha Bodhi Maha Viharaya; Island Spice Grove-turen & gratis 5 minuters nackmassage.

Det var en härlig upplevelse. Besöker utsiktsplatsen, Kandy-torget, teplantagen, ädelstensfabriken och elefantbarnhemmet. Barnhemmet var en trevlig upplevelse, du måste betala för entrébiljetter som är 15 dollar och sedan måste du betala en extra summa för att mata dem. Jag älskar elefanter så det var definitivt en höjdpunkt för mig. Jag gick ensam och kände mig väldigt säker hela tiden. Min guide var mycket vänlig, informativ och snäll.

This trip was fantastic. It’s quite a long day but worth it. Krish was lovely and very helpful. Very informative and gave me lots of really interesting information, not just about Kandy but life in Sri Lanka as well. It was a very relaxed, enjoyable day. Kandy is beautiful and I’m very glad that I booked this particular tour with Apple Vacations as they definitely made the experience what it was. A must do if you have time. Also really good value. The Kandy Man can - if he's our driver

Overall we had a pleasurable time, and Indika (?) was excellent as our driver/guide. However, it takes three hours to get to Kandy from Colombo, and four hours to get back (with the ride not being scenic) so we can't recommend it unless you enjoy a lot of time in the minibus.

Kandy is a good 2 to 3 hours drive, and my driver took very good care of me at each location. My favorite part of Kandy was the Royal Botanical gardens.

We took a private driver/guide to go to Kandy. It was an excellent decision, because we could determine the pace and places visited. It was very important to us because we were quite jetlagged. We also learned a lot about current life in Sri Lanka. Kandy is quite the tourist town. Despite this you never are accosted by vendors to the degree as in India.
