Underbar dagstur för att utforska Santorini

Resan var fantastisk, du kommer att se många fantastiska platser på den vackra ön santorini under denna dagstur. Byn Oia är den vackraste enligt mig men fira har också en hisnande havsutsikt med ett spektakulärt landskap. Det är verkligen det bästa sättet att se santorini på bara en dag.

Good value as a one time thing

Trip itself was very well organized, the guide was very professional and added a lot of information to the trip which otherwise I would not have had. The price is very good considering the standalone ferry tickets are basically as expensive. The bad had nothing to do with the trip organizers, rather with the design of Oia in periocular. Even in pre-season (Early May) the small streets were completely full and you basically had to push yourself through if you wanted to get forward in a decent speed. If you did not, because of the time constraints you could only get to far into the town... Fira was much more capable accommodating the insane amount of people but Oia was just not designed with tourism in mind. Overall can recommend it but I definitely only needed it once in my lifetime.

Perfect amount of time on Santorini

This excursion was exactly as advertised! We were able to go to Santorini for just the day and see the 2 biggest tourist areas - Oia and Fira. It was very crowded so this was the perfect amount of time to spend on the island to see the highlights. We liked Fira better so we were glad to spend more time there. Our tour guide Tonya was great. She was giving the tour in both English and French at the same time. Disclaimer: the ferry ride back to Crete was VERY choppy and windy if you get seasick. There were several people around us vomiting the whole 2.5 hour right back…

Too busy too expensive

We went on this trip as a family of 5 and it cost £807 no food or drink included in this, on the island we were warned about pick pockets and we came across a lot of locals begging for money, we wasn't asked if we would of liked to visit the volcano like the tour operator advertised, santorini is far to busy and far to expensive with as many as 10 cruise ships all docked at the same time with up to 4000 people per ship then you have all the buses visiting from the other islands. The Greek government and tour operators are being very greedy here not limiting the amount of tourists and not sharing this huge wealth with the people that live on the island.

The views were the only positive. We should have realized this tour was not for us because it consisted of a ferry ride devoid of any information including assigned seating and santorini info. After arriving at port, the ferry or port staff was yelling loudly rushing people off. Then a mad dash to buses. We were told the schedule and some info about santorini on our way to the first town. A nightmare arrival ensued in a terribly organized and dangerous bus parking lot. Hundreds of people were trying to make their way up a narrow stone staircase. The guide told us some info, make pictures and go shopping for an hour. Much time was lost already and the streets filled with people. We sat ourselves at a rooftop bar because moving was so difficult. Back to the bus again and to Fira. Less busy and disorganized there. Again little time, especially if going to the hot springs. We sat in a rooftop bar again and bought a few small trinkets and that was that. At the hot springs, no idea we couldn’t get to them off he boat without swimming to at least dangle our feet in the warm water. Our faults thinking we could. The purchase of the ticket was a waste of money. Back to the ferry we went. In hindsight we should have taken our rental car on the ferry and drove to less tourist filled villages and we think we would have enjoyed santorini much more! I cannot recommend this tour. It was a way to get to santorini only, and to the two main towns.

The description of this tour was VERY MISLEADING!!! It did not fully explain that we would be riding on the public ferry from Crete to Santorini. And when it said 50 people maximum, we assumed that would be for the entire trip. We were completely disappointed.

Santorini was absolutely beautiful and lives up to its picturesque expectations - it's unique geography of high cliffs and volcanoes is quite unlike other islands in the cyclades. Our guide Elena was great and her bubbly personality helped draw us into the history and specialties of the island! If you wanna see Santorini without breaking the bank by staying on the island itself, this is a great way to experience it for yourself and still go home with your own postcard views

The day trip was fun. The only thing I would change is the length of time at each location. We would have preferred that 2 1/2 hours in Oia and the 1 1/2 hours in Firá.

Great tour but very confusing on exactly how everything works and where to go for pickup back to our hotel. It would be nice if we were given a sheet explaining the process so there would be no confusion. We did enjoy the tour but be prepared for lots of other tourists!

Well worth it. From pick up to drop off, everything was organised. A few setbacks on delays and rain but that did not discourage us to enjoy Santorini. Our tour guide Cristo, has much knowledge… and sense of humor to keep us engaged while making our way to Oia and Fira… the driver Anton knows what he’s doing keeping a smooth drive while going up and down on that cliff. Highly recommended..

We had a great time on the day trip, Oia was beautiful, we got some amazing pictures and had a wonderful time exploring and shopping. The second half of the day in Fira was also very fun, though we thought just being in Oia for the day would have been just fine, there was nothing to do in Fira we couldn't have done in Oia.
