Easy to find at the cruise ship terminal. Overcrowded when trying to get on at Knossos, lots of people pressing in and on top of each other. Not the drivers fault, but not enjoyable.

Chaotic

Not enough buses. Loading wasn’t organized. We ended up walking a long distance to get back to the ship so that we didn’t need to endure another ride on their buses. Find an alternative.

Confusing system

Sadly the most memorable experience was trying to get past the ridiculous requirement to print our tickets. People on vacation don’t necessarily have access to a printer. Our hotel staff was very accommodating yet there was still problems with sending them the email. Trying to reach someone with your company was a challenge. My husband who was in an area 10 Hours time difference was able to forward the email to the hotel.

Very poor view of some sites

The bus was fine, audio worked fine, disappointed with amount we could see from the bus! We have small children and in other hop on/hop off yours we have been able to see most of the sites from the bus, but with this one we couldn’t see half of it either because it was closed or for example the palace we just stopped in the car park and didn’t actually see any of it!! Which was very disappointing

Great way to get around a bit of Heraklion. Just wish the bus company names weren't all a variation of "Hop on Hop off". It would have been easier to locate the one I paid for in advance.

Chaotic ticketing and no organisation

This was totally unorganised. Lots of people disembarking at the same time from cruise ships and no one from this company to organise queues. It turned into a bun fight and confusion with people thinking they had tickets for a particular bus because they were told all colour buses are fine. We gave up in the end as it was chaos. You are far better to get a taxi for 13 euros. Don’t bother booking this if you are getting off a cruise ship.

Knosos Castle and walled city.

It must have amazing to see this Castle rising out of the Valley in its' day. The photos and the reconstruction of parts of the castle were breath tking with the history included was very informative. The ride to the castle throught the walled city of irakleion was beautiful, the guide explained the various gates to the city and the four kilomter wall was a great technical achievement.

A simple bus tour

Cheap but Not worth the price

A bus shuttle brings people from the cruiseship to the exit of the harbour. Then you have to walk a significant distance to reach the HOHO bus. Lots of things went wrong on this tour. First problem was although I had my ticket, there was total confusion with many people that wanted to buy tickets. Once on board, I had to wait over 45 minutes before the bus would leave the pier. They are waiting for the bus to be full before to start the tour. Many of the jacks to plug-in the audio headsets are not working. I had to change seat 6 times before to find one working. You have to rely on the driver to announce the stops. But after announcing the stop, the bus leaves. The driver did not give us time to leave the bus. Although they are advertising 12 stops, most of them are museums. Only 3 stops worth the hop off. After the first stop I waited 50 minutes for the next bus. They were supposed to pass every 30 minutes. Finally, I wanted to go on the Blue line. The driver of the red line told me to transfer at stop #1. Once I reached that stop, the person at the ticket offince told me that that I had to wait 90 minutes for the next bus. Finally, when another red line bus arrived, the driver told me that the Blue Line was no longer running. I really wasted my day with this HOHO

We are really sorry that almost everything went wrong with your tour.Once you had your ticket you should not wait but report it to the person in charge because the demand in the days when there is a cruise ship is increased so it is reasonable to have a wait. Our city offers many points of interest but you have to hop on - hop off in order to see them. That is why our tickets are valid for of our lines and for two days. We hope to see you again to rectify this bad day.

The bus was nothing like this. There was no help from the driver and although it was meant to run every 30 minutes we had to wait 50 minutes for a bus.

The driver was shouting the entire time (at someone on the phone), the audio didn’t line up with the actual tour, the bus had air conditioning units which weren’t on even though it was about 32. This COULD be a really nice experience, but for us, it really wasn’t.
