Detta var en så bra turné eftersom den började senare än alla andra. Nayda vår reseguide var söt, kunnig och skötte alla våra specifika behov. Denna turné gjorde det möjligt för oss att vakna upp senare, äta frukost och gå till regnbågsberget utan trängsel. När vi skulle upp till berget lämnade massor av människor, vi hade berget nästan helt för oss själva. Skulle starkt rekommendera.

Vår reseguide och förare var båda riktigt bra. Kommunikationen i förväg och lunchen var också bra. Sammantaget gillade jag upplevelsen men det borde finnas en åldersbegränsning. Jag var väldigt olycklig att vara i en liten grupp med ett par och deras 2 år gamla bebis. Vet inte vad de tänkte när de tog med ett så litet barn till den höjden. Som väntat kunde bebisen inte hantera det så paret fick turas om att gå upp på berget och jag fick vänta en mycket längre tid uppe på 5500 m. Jag mådde helt okej ett tag men eftersom jag var tvungen att stanna där så länge på grund av det här paret och deras bebis, började min höjdsjuka in och hade en hemsk vila på dagen. I princip förstörde detta par hela min upplevelse. Jag kämpar för att förstå hur de kan vara så själviska att ta med en 2-åring till en gruppaktivitet. Jag registrerade mig helt enkelt inte för detta och jag är fortfarande så arg på dem. Turer bör inte tillåta föräldrar att ta med sina små barn. Det här borde vara en vuxen aktivitet. Varför måste jag tillbringa hela dagen med en bebis? ? ? ? Sammantaget hade jag en dålig upplevelse men inte rättvist att ge dålig kurs till reseguiden eftersom han var riktigt bra.

Jag hade en fantastisk tid att åka till regnbågsberget med vår guide Naydi. Hon var snäll, kunnig, tillmötesgående och ville helt klart göra det till en fantastisk upplevelse för oss. Jag uppskattade verkligen hur hon vid flera tillfällen berättade för oss om städerna som vi körde genom och också lärde oss lite om Andinska kulturen. Allt var sakkunnigt planerat inklusive maten, organisera hästar/motorcyklar och bergslogistik, och vi fick också fantastiska bilder från Naydi när de flesta av turisterna som gjorde avgångarna klockan 4 redan hade lämnat. Rainbow mountain och de omgivande områdena var överlägset den vackraste naturen som jag personligen har upplevt. Rekommenderar starkt denna turné.

Vår reseguide Naydi från Peru Tours och vår förare Kevin var utmärkta. Så vitt jag vet är det den enda senare dagsturen där du inte behöver gå upp löjliga morgontimmar. Det är en lång 2 1 / 2 timmes bilresa varje väg där vi stannade för färskt bybröd på vägen upp och lunch på vägen tillbaka, vilket var mycket bra. Vi bestämde oss smart för att ta ridturen på vägen uppför Rainbow mountain, vilket jag rekommenderar att göra om du inte är ung och i utmärkt form. Baslägervandring börjar vid 14 K plus fot, och går upp till 16 K. Vädret ändrades cirka 5 gånger. Var beredd på att lägga upp och ner, vått väder också. Sista kvarten av vägen upp är till fots. Vi hade tur att allt var klart när vi nådde toppen. Tunn luft gör det till en utmaning, men väl värt det. Spektakulär utsikt, bilder och berättelse bakom räddningen av detta berg från gruvarbetarna. Väl värt den långa dagsturen.

Couple days before your tour, there was a tourist who died hitted by lightning because of heavy rains, that is the reason why we decided to not go for security reasons. We will never risk your security only for money, that is not deffenetely our philosofy. Regarding the money refund, this was sent to you, and you know you received 100 % of it. Of course the money transfer does not happen inmediately, it takes couple days. We wish we would do something else for you. Hope to see you next time. Have a great time.

Jag gick med min man till Rainbow Mountain och vi hade en viskning! Avgångstiden kl 8:00 var en välkommen förändring till de andra mycket tidiga morgonvakningarna. Nayda var vår reseguide och hon var bäst! Hela rutten berättade hon om varje stad vi körde genom och lokala seder och traditioner. Vandringen i sig var svår för mig på grund av höjden men Nayda var tålmodig och hjälpte mig på vägen. Hon tog till och med med koka-te att dricka på toppen. Lunchen på vägen tillbaka var utsökt. Rekommendera starkt denna turné, be om Nayda! !

Vi var mycket nöjda med vår upplevelse på denna turné! Rainbow mountain stod på vår bucket-lista men vi fruktade det tidiga väckarklockan som verkar krävas av nästan alla andra turnégrupper som annonseras ut. Jag ser ingen nackdel med den sena morgonavgången. Jag tror att vandringen mitt på dagen snarare än på morgonen tillät oss att få bättre väder (även om det fortfarande är kyligt i december - ta med lager!), färre folkmassor och fortfarande återvände till Cusco vid middagstid. Vandringen i sig var mycket utmanande på grund av höjden, mycket mer utmanande än alla andra aktiviteter vi gjorde när vi var baserade i Cusco. Skulle definitivt rekommendera höjdförberedelser för alla som planerar att vandra Rainbow mountain inklusive att ta receptbelagd medicin och låta flera dagar acklimatisera sig i förväg.

Det finns bara gott om fördelar att välja denna sena turné. Behöver inte vakna tidigt som 3 på morgonen. Vi lämnade Cusco runt 9:20 med ett annat par och en dam. Vår reseguide Edgar tog väl hand om oss särskilt under klättringen. Det var utmanande för mig, men att ta sig till toppen betalar sig själv. Det var en vacker vandring. Obs, förutom att göra detta på en söndag att komma dit efter 14.00 eller senare betyder det mindre publik.

Denna turné var fantastisk, vår guide var fantastisk, mycket hjälpsam och kunnig. Höjden är verklig, så rekommendationen att klimatisera i Cusco några dagar innan hjälpte oss mycket på denna tur till regnbågsberget. Att se byarna, lokalbefolkningen och regnbågsberget var otroligt. Lokalbefolkningen som bor på berget är inspirerande och hårt arbetande. Vi fick upp en häst och gick tillbaka. Det var värt det eftersom höjden definitivt tog hårt på våra kroppar på vägen tillbaka. Vår reseguide hade några fantastiska naturläkemedel som drev oss att kunna ta oss tillbaka till parkeringen. Det är en prestation, samma höjd som baslägret, Mt Everest. Utsikten över regnbågsberget och omgivningarna var spektakulära, ta dig tid att ta in allt, det är otroligt. Att se de enorma glaciärerna, färgade landskapen och bergskedjorna var hisnande. 120 % rekommenderar att du åker på denna turné! Vädret för vår turné var perfekt, försök få det på en bra dag! Maten var utmärkt också på en lokal stad, det fanns en buffé med ett utsökt urval av mat. Denna mat kommer efter att du har gått ner från regnbågsberget, men på vägen upp kommer du att stanna vid denna lokala restaurang och få en liten snackspåse, vilket var riktigt bra.

Fantastisk turné men underskatta inte höjden

Wowww, vilken fantastisk turné, mycket utmanande men definitivt värt att göra så länge du är väl acklimatiserad. Willy - vår STORA reseguide var mycket tålmodig och hjälpsam. Han visste att jag hade det kämpigt och han erbjöd sig att hjälpa mig att bära min ryggsäck. Han tog verkligen hand om hela gruppen och såg till att vi alla kunde göra det säkert. Willy behöver extra poäng för det svåra och utmanande jobb han gör praktiskt taget varje dag. Stort tack till föraren - Oliver - mycket försiktig förare. Den här vägen är inte lätt, mycket slingrande och lite läskig - Olivier tog oss säkert hem igen. Glöm inte att tipsa killarna att uppskatta det hårda arbetet de gör. Jag gillar idén att börja turnén klockan 09.00 - det är verkligen vettigt eftersom du kan få nog av sömn och när du väl kommer till Rainbow Mountain är alla folkmassor borta och berget är helt för dig. Lunchen på vägen tillbaka var utsökt och mycket rik. Kommunikationen med Edwin - General Manager var utmärkt. Jag blev informerad om hämtningen och alla viktiga saker att tänka på och ta med mig. Jag rekommenderar helt "Peru Private Tours". Och nu det viktigaste - SNÄLLA underskatta inte höjden. Berget ser lätt ut på bilderna men höjden kan vara en mördare - snälla för din egen, reseledarens och hela gruppens skull, se till att du är väl acklimatiserad - annars riskerar du fruktansvärd höjdsjuka och fara för ditt liv som var fallet i vår grupp (en ung kille som precis har kommit till Cusco var fruktansvärt sjuk, behövde syre och han kräktes hela vägen tillbaka). Good tour

We could get enough sleep and big breakfast because of the late pickup. Our tour guide was patient and helpful to a group member who suffered from the high altitude. We were the last group to leave Rainbow Mountain. So we avoided all the crowds. The lunch was excellent with good food and good service.

The pick-up was very punctual. When we arrived at Vinicunca, the guide was somewhat stressed. I would have liked to have taken more time for photos. On the way down, the guide almost ran and said we were already half an hour late. According to the plan, lunch was scheduled for 4 p.m. We arrived at the restaurant at 3 p.m., an hour early. The guide said that there was a lot of traffic in Cusco and that we had to leave earlier. What a pity! There was little time at Rainbow Mountain. All in all, I think it was a good thing to start later. As we hiked up, we encountered crowds of people and there was not so much going on at the top. Still, I didn't understand my tour guide's stress.

Amazing experience, that REALLY avoids big crowds

Big thank you to Nayda (guide) and Christian (driver) for guiding us through that incredible experience! If you want to go on a tour, that actually gives you a view without big crowds- this experience is worth every dollar! Bonus- you get to sleep in at least a little bit, which you’ll need in Cusco for sure. You can choose between walking (approx 1h) or taking a horse for 70 soles. My boyfriend and me walked up there together with the tour guide- if you’re in a good condition it’s totally manageable. The air gets thinner the higher you get up but Nayda supported us with essential oils and motivating words.
