Susan and Jenny were great. Very friendly and explained everything very well. I would abosolutly go back if i am in Dublin again. Having never kayaked before, they looked after us very well and we felt safe the whole time.

So cool seeing the seals and the bay. Great guides and if you’re worried about being cold- don’t be, the wetsuits will keep you plenty warm. Also, for my fellow chub’n’flub friends (aka fat), don’t worry, they got big size wetsuits!

Brilliant activity. We had never been kayaking before but soon picked up the basic skills from the friendly instructors. We saw a number of seals and at one point saw at least four seals together.

**********Please Read Before Booking************* You will need to wear a wetsuit and change into said wetsuit in front of all the other people on your tour and anyone else who is standing nearby. I did bring my own wetsuit and they allowed me to wear it. Your shoes will get wet! Your body will probably get wet! You will have to walk in the water to launch / land your kayak. They don't specifically say not to bring a camera (or phone), but there was some confusion about my camera and when I could / should use it. I didn't know I was breaking a rule by bringing a camera. So, please check with your group leader before bringing a camera or phone on the tour. It was very cool to see the seals so close by! Our tour guides were knowledgeable about the area, the wildlife etc. Our guides really emphasized not disturbing the seals, just observing them - which I think it awesome. This is not an easy peasy kayak trip, it is fairly demanding to keep up with the group / the bay / the waves / staying far enough away from the seals etc.

This was amazing! They were very proactive looking at the weather to make sure we'd have a good trip. Very communicative. We saw lots of seals. They came right up to us! Hamish, our guide, was very kind and told us a lot of interesting things.

Re-think Seal kayaking experience

The tour operator never showed up - we left one voice mail and after that the other 3 calls went unanswered. We confirmed with locals that we were in the right place; we showed up early and stayed late. Viator was called twice. No guide appeared nor was able to be found - and they had confirmed the day prior! We were so excited to think we were going to do this. We lost valuable time on our vacation of a lifetime and 80 Euros it took to get there. We called Viator to ask them for a refund - but still waiting.

Hi There, I'm very sorry you didn't get to come kayaking with us. We don't run tours for the public on Mondays as we are often running charity events so I'm not sure how your booking managed to come through. I imagine it was a booking system error with Viator. Had a great experience. Seas were fine but if they weren’t, I could see it being harder than it was. We saw plenty of seals and the guides were fantastic. Always asking if we were good. Learned about the area and eco system. All around great experience.

Jenny was a perfect guide. Our family had a wonderful time. we were a group of 7 adults age range of 26 to 60. Jenny taught us the basics for how to control our kayaks and guided us throughout the bay area. We were able to see the seals swimming near us and lying in the sun on the rocks as we past by. This was a great activity and we enjoyed the exercise after spending so much of our other tours on buses.

This was such a special & amazing experience. We saw about 7 seals & one popped up right by the kayak. Jenny was extremely professional & very caring about making sure we got the best day. I’ve already recommended it to some people I met in another tour today.

It was such an exciting experience with great guides. And the seals were only the cherry on top. It's very interesting to have a different perspective on you environment. If you are not afraid of water, this is surely a must for a Dublin visit.
