Learning about the citizens of Gettysburg and how they endured the war. I would be hesitant to stay in a local bed and breakfast after hearing how many of the homes are supposedly haunted!

Our tour guide (who went by Major Finn, I think?), was the absolute best! He was knowledgeable, funny, and great story teller and we learned so much more about the parts of the battle in the actual town than we could have retained from any book or museum. It was so good that I would do it again, even if it was just the same stories. Remember to bring some cash to tip, because you'll want to tip.

We enjoyed the history and ghost stories. It was another unique experience (after walking battlefields during the day) to walk the streets where historical events occurred. Our guide was very personable and a good story teller, and we enjoyed his time with us.

A good family tour and historical tales

We met at Lincoln Square, catty corner to the Blue and Grey. Amber was our tour guide. This was a walking tour so she cautioned us to be careful when crossing the streets and where the sidewalks were uneven. The tour was more historical than spooky. It seemed like only towards the end was there some current paranormal happenings shared. But overall, a family outing and good stretch of the legs.

Entertaining & Informative Tour!!

This was a great experience! Major Finn gave a fun, thorough tour. I would have liked to have heard some scarier stories, but there were a couple of young children on our tour, and you could tell Major Finn was very capable of catering the content to his audience. My husband and I had toured the battlefield earlier, so it was nice to hear some history of things that occurred in town during that time as well. Major Finn was very good at this. His stories even went beyond the battle itself. At one of those stops, I actually captured a ghost with my iPhone! I couldn’t believe it. The image even looks like the girl he had described in the story. If you are looking for a historical, entertaining ghost tour, I highly recommend. If you can get Major Finn, you will definitely have a good time.
