Aaron was our guide, he was so knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area and was very diligent to make sure that we didn’t feel rushed and hiked safely. It was like hiking with a friend.

Book this tour!! Big John Rambo guided us through an amazing hike through the rainforest. He pointed out flora and fauna a that we would've missed. He was super knowledgeable and went at our pace. The waterfall was glorious and the photo ops were abundant!

Amazing experience

We had a BLAST! We came from La fortuna (rainy) on the way to tamarindo. We did this to break up the drive. Ian was our guide and he was awesome. We liked being in a private tour, even though there were other groups. We saw monkeys!! The waterfall was magical. It was fun getting in the water to trudge our way there. I would highly recommend! Great for kids!

Best tour we had in two weeks

We've had night tours in Monteverde, hikes around a volcano, and gone zip lining in a cloud forest but this trip was more memorable than all of them. Our guide Aaron was brilliant - very knowledgeable about the area, plants and animals, very friendly and helpful, and talked just the right amount. We saw group tours on our way round and I genuinely think the private tour makes all the difference. We got the waterfall to ourselves and the guided hike was more personal. Completely worth the few pounds extra to have the private tour.

My husband and i went this private tour with Alex, and this was one of the best experiences we have had in Costa Rica! Alex made a great job in making the adventure fun while making sure us safe all the time. Will recommend this to anyone who wants a bit of adventure. 10 out of 10! If you can, ask for Alex as the tour guide!

We booked the private 8:30 am tour with Eliezer. This was the best decision! He took such good care of us. So easy to talk to, friendly and knowledgeable. We had the trails and waterfall pretty much to ourselves. On the way back we began to run into more people. Mostly larger tour groups waiting for each other. Eliezer took so many pictures for us and used a dry bag to protect our belongings. The facilities also have lockers for your things. I can't stress enough that the private tour is the way to go here if you don't want to be waiting behind large groups of people and want a chance to enjoy the waterfall before the crowds come. Eli was the best!
