Vår reseguide Ruben var fantastisk. Han var mycket kunnig, entusiastisk och gjorde dagen mycket rolig. Hobbitenango var ett bra stopp. Bedårande område och vacker utsikt. Antigua är underbart. Vi kunde se Stilla veckans processioner, som var mycket imponerande. Vi njöt av vårt stopp vid lunch. Sammantaget var det en fantastisk turné. Skulle starkt rekommendera.

Hobbitenango - helt fantastiskt (så bra, jag gick tillbaka nästa dag); Antigua - vackert. Vår reseguide - kunnig. MEN han rusade ut oss överallt. Denna turné annonseras med ~ 3 timmar i Hobbitenango och ~ 3 timmar i Antigua. Vi tillbringade exakt 1 timme i Hobbitenango och han skyndade oss ut och sa att det fanns mer att göra och se, och han ville lägga till en annan plats för oss att besöka. Vi hann knappt gå uppför berget en liten bit eller se mycket runt parken. Efter ett snabbt stopp i Antigua och lunch (vilket var meh; vi hade hellre betalat för att hitta vår egen lunch någonstans), sa han "ok - tillbaka till Guatemala City!" Vi frågade om den där andra platsen han skyndade oss ut från Hobbitenango för , och efter ett litet samtal med chauffören sa att vi kunde åka dit om vi verkligen ville - gjorde vi? Men då kände vi oss lite besvikna över tanken på att spendera mer tid med det här reseföretaget. Så vi valde att åka hem och vila. Jag älskade Hobbitenango så mycket, jag gick själv dagen efter för solnedgången. DET FANTASTISKA FOTOET JAG TADE ÄR INTE FRÅN DENNA TUR, det är från mig som åker på egen hand. En uber från Guatemala City kostade cirka 25 USD och ingången till parken var under 10 USD. Jag skulle säga att gå själv och njuta av denna vackra plats. Jag är en stor LOTR-nörd, men jag hade några vänner som inte var så intresserade av LOTR men de ÄLSKADE att vandra runt i Hobbitenango. Det blev vandringar runt berget och det var ett coolt ställe att bara hänga och vandra runt, ta en drink eller lite mat, kolla in underbara vyer. Jag åt en vegetarisk pizza och det var fantastiskt (igen, det här var på min egen tid; inte en del av turnén. Den inkluderade turnéns lunch var ett urval av torr kyckling, lax (som jag har fått höra var bra) och lite anständigt pasta - som du måste be om när de berättar 2 icke-vegetariska alternativ).

Vår guide, Ruben, var extremt kunnig, vänlig och tålmodig. Jag bokade en privat rundtur för mig själv och mina äldre föräldrar, som har svårt att gå runt mycket. Ruben och Miguel (förare) var så snälla och såg till att ta emot oss med mindre promenader och mer som körde oss mellan platser och satt med min mamma medan vi utforskade. Vår lunchplats i Antigua var också mycket god mat. Sammantaget hade vi en underbar tid och jag rekommenderar starkt denna turné. Vår favoritplats var överraskande Hobbitenango och inte Antigua. Vyerna var bara spektakulära och jag känner att detta förmodligen är en underskattad liten pärla. Det var trevligt roligt och intressant.

Jag vill utgå från denna recension genom att säga att Rueben var en underbar guide och föraren var fantastisk. Många av de problem vi upplevde var utanför deras kontroll och tyvärr inte förutsedda eller planerade för. Jag besöker Guatemala på nyår och det är trångt! Jag tog den här rundturen på en fredag, hämtades från mitt hotell i Guatemala City ungefär 8:20, och vi hämtade inte upp vår sista passagerare i Antigua förrän ca 10:30 - för att ta oss till Hobbitenego vid 11-tiden. Vid det här laget var det otroligt långa väntetider på allt. Så mycket så, de flesta av fototillfällena hade väldigt långa köer så många av oss fick inte det berömda fotot på jättarnas hand eller när vi kom ut ur hobbitgrottan. Vi hade bara ungefär en timmes ledig tid i parken - även om vi väntade länge på transporten upp till parken och transporten ner igen. Vi tillbringade mer tid med att vänta och sedan faktiskt njuta av parken. Lunchen var anständig. Inget superspännande. Vi gjorde sedan en rundvandring i Antigua, men det var fortfarande väldigt trångt så många fotooperationer var alldeles för trånga med lokalbefolkningen och turister. Ruben gjorde det bästa av dagen. Önskar bara att vi hade fått en tidigare start för att förhoppningsvis hoppa över alla långa väntetider. Kom inte tillbaka till Guatemala City förrän nästan 20.00. Tyvärr var turnén inte värt priset. Tillbringade större delen av dagen i köer.

Jag hade en privat rundtur med Roben. Han tog mig till Hobbitenango tidigt på en måndag och vi var de 1 gatan där. Ingen väntan i kö för att ta bilder. Han gjorde ett bra jobb med att ta mina bilder och han gav så mycket tid som jag ville. Efter Hobbitenango hade vi en härlig rundtur i Antigua och en fantastisk lunch. Han var mycket professionell och förklarade intressanta fakta och historia om Guatemala.

Hobbitengango is a mythical place in the highlands of Antigua. This is the ideal place to visit for all those Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit fans not only for the hobbit-like houses, but the nature, and movie-like games. Antigua is a colonial city beautifully preserved through the passing of time. Getting to know this place in the company of an experienced tour guide is the best you can do so you can fully appreciate all the beauty behind each convent, church, and edification. I am glad to know that during your visit you had the chance to see the Fuego Volcano erupting, that is a unique experience. Good: - Friendly tour guide and driver - Great trip to Hobbitenango with ample time to enjoy the surroundings and take pictures, and very patient tour guide who helps take your pictures as well - Enjoyable trip to the small town Antigua, and private tour guide helped navigate to a few spots I wanted to check out more in-depth at a leisurely pace - Smooth logistics overall for the day Room for improvement: - I explained this to my tour guide as well - the included "Premium Lunch" was an unfortunate disappointment. Food is incredibly important to me, and I had very limited meal options during my short stay in Guatemala and really wanted to try some local cuisine instead of the generic meal that was "included". I couldn't eat half the food that was "included" aka pre-paid. For example, the included hibiscus tea was way too sweet and undrinkable, and the restaurant ended up charging me $2 USD out of pocket for water. Aside from a generic chicken and rice entree, the dessert was simply vanilla ice cream which I never order anywhere. I ended up finding a bakery nearby to eat something else instead. The prepaid "premium lunch" just seemed like a waste in terms of both money, time, and my meal opportunities. It would've been much better if the tour gave better local options or just let me get my own lunch instead.

The best was to experience Antigua

We only had 2 days in Guatamala City, this was the perfect experience for us! We got to visit Hobbitenango and take in the full experience. Then we went to Antigua, learn about the culture and history of the Mayans. Our guide was very knowledgeable! Bring comfortable shoes for the walking tour as the roads are cobblestone! Lunch was included which was a plus for us! Highly recommend.

Had amazing tour guys that were very informative and showed me all that Guatemala had to offer. The only downfall was the weight for the hobbitenango excursion makes the trip there pointless as you wait for an hour for a short time left to actually enjoy the place, not sure how this could be fixed as it’s out of the tour guides control but overall a very eventful tour.

This tour was amazing!!! My guide, Astrid, was so kind, sweet, knowledgeable, and professional. I learned so much about Antigua and took awesome photos! This is a great tour for families, couples, and solo travelers. The driver, Carlos, was also so sweet! I highly recommend this tour! You won’t want to miss it!!
