Alberto squired us to the marina imparting local history, wildlife and ecological information. Very enjoyable mini tour. The gentlemen who received us at the marina did not speak & was not assistive walking ahead of us to boat. Oratio our boat captain provided a fun informative tour of the bays. We felt safe in his capable hands. Oratio checked in frequently ensuring we received the personal experience a private tour offers. Took us to great snorkel sites, providing time to take in bays highlights. The same gentlemen who received us at the marina silently walking ahead of us as we carried our gear to a street taxi. The taxi was non air condition (34 C) took us back to the resort. The transportation to the marina and the boat tour met the expectation of a private $450.00 cdn four hour boat tour. The non assistive non speaking escort to and from boat and a non air conditioned public cab (approx $6.00 cdn value) does not meet with our expectations of the money paid nor the Viator company.

Half the tour was being left on a beach to buy an overpriced lunch from captains friend When we were ready to go, he had left. Finally came back 45 minutes later. Not recommended.

Hello from Paradise I really hope you can accept our apologies about the bad experience in that day. Unfortunately when it comes to solidarity the guys at the Marina , priority is to help each other specially when safety is on risk , even when the one on risk belongs to a different company , unfortunately that's why our captain took those extra minutes. Regarding the lunch we warned you about NOT taking lunch ,these 2 weeks of Easter Brake are the busiest of the year and merchants,business people , restaurant owners etc , etc don't even respect our clients becoming abusive , that's why the Warning about lunch.

We loved seeing the beautiful area and coatis running around on shore. The snorkeling was nice. The lunch beach was great. All would have been more pleasant on a calmer day. The water was rough and one in our party got really seasick.

Not what we expected

The driver that took us to the boat was great. However when we got there we had major issues……the snorkeling equipment was supposed to be included in our price….it was not! Then, there were no beer on the boat as promised when we booked. The boat was very small! They did get the beer after we got off the boat and said we weren’t going! The tour had no music on board as promised. The guide(only I person on board, limited English)…….was very nice but did not say much. I think we expected more explanation of the area.

Hello from paradise. Thanks for taking the time to write, the snorkel equipment is NOT included in my initial description, and I still paid for it for you. The beer is included and to please you we bought 24 extra bottles, the beer is not to get drunk, it is only to refresh you. However, we are very grateful for your reservation.

Highlight of our trip!

We LOVED our boat tour with HomieTours! We were in Huatulco for a bachelorette party and this was the highlight of our trip. They picked us up at our house and were knowledgeable and kind. We learned so much about Huatulco just on our drive over to the port. The boat was a perfect size for 5 of us and our captain made the rough ocean water feel so much smoother with his amazing driving skills. He even guided our snorkeling, bringing us to a spot where we saw a turtle and a wide variety of other fish. There was plenty of water and beer on board and they let us bring our own lunch. I can’t wait to return and use HomieTours services again.

Snorkeling trip ended up whale watching also

Went on a private snorkeling tour and ended up doing a whale tour also. Our guide was great, he took us around the bay first and then on his radio he was told about possible whale sighing, we took off after it and sure enough there was a whale and it's baby swimming in the bay. After that he took us snorkeling and we had a great time.

We did a cruise that called in Huatulco, and this tour was perfect for our day there. They were able to meet us right at the cruise ship pier, get us fitted with snorkel gear (tour includes gear for 2 but we rented more sets for $15 each), and walk us to our boat. The boat had individual seats for each person and plenty of beer and soda to go around! The bays were beautiful and we were able to see so much. We visited two different snorkel spots and were able to see all sorts of beautiful things, even turtles and rays. As we were cruising along the coast, we spotted a large group of dolphins and were able to detour and cruise along with them for a while as they swam right next to the boat. After this, we were hungry, so we were taken to a beach restaurant with a huge selection of seafood and other things. We were also able to see all the bays and stop at whichever beaches we wanted. Even though the tour says it's 4 hours, we never felt rushed and were able to decide what we wanted to do and spend as much time at each location as we wanted. They didn't bring us back to the ship until we were ready. One thing to note is that our two guides did not speak great English, but it was sufficient for the tour and we were able to get by and would recommend this tour despite the slight language barrier. We had an absolute blast and feel like this was a fantastic value for 6 people!

Wonder, explore, discover the Bays

Where do I start? The minute my husband and I were picked up at resort, biologist Alberto taught the ecological vision for this area pointing out aspects of engineering along the drive to Sta Cruz. In a brief time, we felt we learned much about the Oaxacan coast. We met Capt Insidro at Sta Cruz—we always felt safe even amidst some of the tougher waves and currents along the path to explore multiple bays and beaches. From the historical Playa La Entrega to the legend Playa India, we discovered such beautiful secluded areas—we stopped at 3 bays to snorkel—magnificent! I felt Isidro added more to this exploration than expected—delightful. We witnessed the beauty of sea animals traversing their glorious waters—sea turtles, manta rays, dolphins and (wow!) a graceful whale swimming close by. Isidro picked three beautiful snorkeling sites—glorious. We had lunch —baked chula (tuna) on Playa Maguey with a couple of cokes. Alberto and Isidro from Homietours did an excellent job allowing us safe exploration and discovery and teaching us along the way. So grateful for this adventure.

Tolle Tour und tolle Guide's

Unsere beiden Führer waren sehr angagiert. Sie haben sich richtig Zeit genommen und wir sind fast an den Strand gefahren um einen Rochen schön zu sehen. Anschließend fuhren wir aufs Meer hinaus um ausgiebig den Delphinen zuschauen zu können und um Schildkröten zu sehen. Tolle Tour!!!!
