Beautiful beach and generous lunch It is enjoyable trip with the knowledge able guide. We should have swimming suit! So we could walk around the water.

Everything we expected and more

Great tour yesterday with guide Jonathan and driver Ricardo. Both were outstanding, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in every way. The museum tour was a highlight, must do if you are in La Paz. And Playa Balandra was everything we hoped for and more. The lunch at Tecolote was a tasty end of our day!

This is one of the tours that we enjoy the most as we can visit the most beautiful places, share some history and cultural aspects of our city, combined with a visit to these amazing beaches called Balandra, and Tecolote.

Disappointing to say the least

Tour didn’t deliver as noted in the listing. If you’re booking because you’re expecting to go to Balandra Beach it isn’t guaranteed. Most people on our tour believed by booking through a company gave special rights to the beach however that wasn’t the case. The bus had to wait in the same line of traffic as everyone else and then we were turned away. We went to another beach that we had already coated on our own previously. Don’t waste your money on this tour.

Hello, thank you for your comments. You are right, unfortunately government doesn’t give us a special treatment to get to Balandra beach, even when we pay a permit to go there by person, by transport unit, and a permit for the company. What we do is to adjust the time we get there, depending on if it’s holidays or not, or if there is an event with a lot of people, we take special care to get there on time and we have access to the beach This time was something out of our hands, due to a cruise ship who arrived to the city, providing a transportation service to Balandra, that’s why it was full when we get there. That was something new for us, now we have closed the tour when there is an arrival of a cruise ship to avoid this situation. We provide the tour everyday and we do have access to the beach each time. This was an isolated situation we could not avoid. Thank you again for your comment !

The guide and driver were great guys but did not speak very good English and had trouble at times explaining the various sites. Your advertising should make it clear that the probability of actually entering Balandra Beach is less than 20% on any given day because of struct limitations on the number of people allowed in each day by the local government. We were not able to enter.

Hello, thank you for your comments. Unfortunately government doesn’t give us a special treatment, even as we pay a special permit to get there. This is the first time we can’t access to Balandra beach in 2 years, I am sorry for that. This was due to a cruise ship who arrived to the city, providing a transportation service to Balandra, that’s why it was full when we arrived. That was something new for us, now we have closed the tour when there is an arrival of a cruise ship to avoid this situation. We provide the tour everyday and we do access to the beach each time. Awesome tour. Zona Central and the Malecon, Playa Balandra were great Perfect weather, excellent guide and super company. Best was lunch at Tecolote on the water. Victor was great and went above and beyond at every stop. Highly recommend

Balandra was awesome, but swimming with the fish in Tecolote was the best. And Jonathan did a fantastic job identifying each fish for us, he was outstanding.

Our first time in La Paz

Our tour guide Jonathan was very nice , our pick up time was on time, my suggestion is to follow the itinerary as listed on tour description instead of 90 min at balandra beach we were there for 3 1/2 hours, we did not visited tecolote beach instead we went to another one very close to balandra something to do with lunch restaurant issues , I was really looking forward to visit Tecolote beach, when we asked about it , he offered to take us there but our group just went with the flow and said ok to the other beach ( our first time) lunch is included and it was decent. Like I said Jonathan was very nice and polite.

This time we had to visit another beach instead, it was Pichilingue beach, a beautiful and less crowded beach where you could spend a good time. I will pass your nice comments to Jonathan. Fun way to spend the day

We enjoyed the tour with Jonathan very much as he was a very good tour guide and driver. We unfortunately didn’t get to see all that was included in the city tour due to Sunday closures, but Chita tours refunded a portion of the price due to this problem. The beaches and lunch were great - very enjoyable way to spend the day - especially if you’re new to LaPaz.
