What a truly fantastic trip from the minute we were picked up! Maria our tour guide was absolutely lovely, such a warm, friendly and knowledgeable person we couldn’t have asked for a better guide, we left feeling like friends. The tour itself was really great, the walking route was good (mostly flat and not too difficult but make sure to pack suitable footwear and a jumper), the walk was about 2.5/3hours and we stopped at the top for a quick break, water and a snack. The views were amazing, plenty opportunities for photos and Maria made the trip so interesting, she answered any questions anyone had and we learnt a lot as well. Great value for money, I would absolutely recommend this tour and would do it again so if your thinking about booking you should!

A very interesting trekking in a martian-like landscape. Alejandro is a great guide giving information about Lanzarote and its geology and vulcanic eruptions. Ended up with a nice visit in a cellar in La Geria, tasting local wine.

A great way to experience the national park

A great way to experience the national park. Yes do the montañas del fuego bus tour, but walking through the landscape makes such a difference and allows for better photos. You do a circular route which enables you to walk up the side of one of the volcanoes and look inside the crater and cross the lava flows. Everything was well organised - they emailed the day before with a pick up time (8.20 from playa blanca) and were punctual. Alejandro was a great guide - very knowledgeable and spoke good English. The walk lasts three hours with stops for photos and explanation. Wear sensible closed shoes as you are walking on the lava flows, rocks and lapilli. They have walking sticks if you want one. Water and a snack were provided but there is a quick stop half way round if you want to bring your own. Note there are no toilet facilities. I have been coming to lanzarote for many years and was so pleased to do this trip to get a close up view of the national park.

This was a very good trip. Exactly as promised. Pickup on time. Alejandro is excellent guide. Good geological and historical information at pauses in hike. Good communication about what to expect next. Kept group together well and did a great job. Well planned route through challenging terrain.

A close up experience of a spectacular volcanic landscape

Our guide, Alejandro, led a really interesting walk highlighting the fascinating geomorphological history of the island which has created its unique landscape. It was a gentle walk, with some short uphill sections, of about 8km (less than 3 hours of walking, including breaks). An opportunity to really experience the landscape, and not just see it from a coach window.

Amazing trek around volcanoes

Had a great time with Alejandro as our guide. Everything from hotel pickup, walking around the volcano and drop off were perfect. He also provided a small snack halfway thru the trek. Very informative and you can tell he loves the island and its history. I suggest bringing a small backpack to carry your water bottles (he gives each person a water bottle) and phones. It can be quite rocky on the trail so wear sneakers too!
