Mitt parti av 4 var bokat för den här turen den 7 mars med pickup från Carnival Panorama på Long Beach och avresa på vårt LAX-hotell. På grund av myndigheterna i Long Beach vägrade vi att lämna fartyget på grund av CoronaVirus. Jag ringde turnéleverantören Sunseeker Tours och höll dem à jour med situationen. Vi hamnade i turnén och kunde inte gå ombord på fartyget förrän nästa dag. Jag kontaktade flygbolag, hotell och en annan researrangör och de samtyckade alla nådigt att arbeta med oss med återbetalning. De är de enda som inte skulle hjälpa oss på något sätt. Jag skulle inte boka en turné som tillhandahålls av Sunseeker Tours om du inte har försäkring på turnén. Ett par på vårt skepp bokade en turné med en annan turnéleverantör i Los Angeles och de återbetalade fint sina pengar.

Thank you for making the time and effort to provide your review. Although we have been fortunate that the vast majority of the TripAdvisor reviews of our tours are very positive, we also need to know when our guests are not satisfied.
I appreciate your having included enough detail concerning your displeasure so that other TripAdvisor contributors can understand your issue. I read it fully. Hopefully, you will afford me the same courtesy of reading my input also.
I presume you booked your tour with us because you saw our marketing materials and substantial number of positive reviews on this site.
We are a small company with a proud history of providing services that larger companies do not. Among our unique offerings is that we often take early morning arriving cruise passengers on an 8 hour, nearly 100 mile tour of Los Angeles and get them to the airport for their late evening flights. Being small with 14 or fewer passengers gives us the option to provide that benefit.
Being small, however, does put us at a disadvantage against the mega companies.
Our cancellation/refund policy is an industry standard. Airlines, hotels, cruise lines, and tour operators all have their own similar restrictions.
Our being small, however, does not allow the flexibility that large volume companies have. If cancelation of 4 seats on a 200 seat airplane, 60 seat tour bus, or 2 rooms in a 300 room hotel is needed, the large companies can, although seldom do, make compassionate adjustments and absorb the loss in exchange for positive “good will” or favorable TripAdvisor reviews.
Cancellation of several seats on a 14 passenger bus is a very different issue. We are not heartless and without compassion. Your situation was indeed unique. But how do we select which situation deserves compassion while another does not? Do we waive the policy for a missed plane? Bad weather? Itinerary change? Over sleeping? How can we be fair to all issues? We, unfortunately need to apply it to all cancellations uniformly.
It is somewhat like the David and Goliath story, but in this situation, David loses and is pummeled with a negative review which, for some reason, was actually published twice to add insult to injury.
I do not expect my explanation make you like our policy. As a matter of fact, I do not like it either. But unfortunately it is a necessary evil if we are to continue providing our services. Hopefully, you understand our plight. Thanks again for your input.

Totalt sett har vi haft turnén och det var fantastiskt att stå kvar på flygplatsen. Det började ungefär 20 minuter för sent. Vår guide Alberto är uppenbarligen mycket kunnig om LA och underhållningsindustrin. Turnén var roligare när han fokuserade på dessa områden. Han flyttade ofta till filosofiska områden eller hans tydliga kärlek till bilar. Som sagt några andra på turnén tycktes tycka om diskussionerna. Jag skulle ha föredragit fler kommentarer om de områden vi gick igenom eller information om staden och dess byggnader. Sammantaget en trevlig turné.

Thanks for sharing your input. Curious about your "started about 20 minutes late" comment. We do pick-up guests from local hotels, hopefully the delay was due to our having to had to wait for someone along the way. With respect to the commentary, we try to adjust our comments to fit with guest's interests. That said, however, we also try to not let that interfere with the "business" of showing off the attractions along the way. Thank you for letting us know we may have misjudged this time. Thanks again for sharing your input.

We really enjoyed driving around seeing the architecture and famous places. Sorry we did not go to Mel’s diner.

Thank you for submitting your review. Although Mel's diner is where we usually stop for our lunch break, there are rare situations which make the visit impossible. On the day of your tour with us, Mel's was closed for a filming project. Hopefully, you enjoyed having lunch at the iconic Farmer's Market. Thank you again for submitting your review. The guide was very knowledgeable. However, we did not visit sites on the itinerary as per the website. Did not visit Observatory, Santa Monica pier, Rodeo Drive. Spent full day of driving around without really looking and stopping at highlights. Very disappointed and so were other passengers. Started 45 minutes late as had to wait for passengers arriving late. Very disorganized in the morning, sorting out passengers and buses.

Thank you for your comment about our guide. Unfortunately, the rest of your review does need some clarification. You were part of nearly 125 cruise ship passengers who disembarked through the immigration and ship administration processes. We were in telephone contact with many of them and we waited for them to clear customs. The fact that you felt inconvenienced by the delay does not mean that we were disorganized. Apparently, you were among the lucky few who were released earlier than many others. We did not go to the observatory because it was shrouded in clouds eliminating the view that stop would have provided. The city of Beverly Hills has imposed arbitrary vehicle weight limits for Rodeo which result in our inability to drive down Rodeo. Sorry that you felt disappointed by our having to accommodate all of our guests and obey legal restrictions imposed by the cities.

Alberto was our driver/guide. He was awesome!! Very knowledgeable of the area and its history. Alberto has a great personality, he was funny and made us laugh. He picked us up promptly after we got off a Carnival Cruise at Long Beach terminal. He loaded our luggage and dropped us off at LAX after our tour. He drove a high rise van that was comfortable. I was a little skeptical in the beginning but I was pleasantly surprised with the tour. On the way to our scheduled sights he told us the history of the areas we were driving through. Some of the tour was ride by but we did get out at a few places. He carried us to lunch at Mel’s Drive In. The food was a little expensive but it was very delicious. I would highly recommend booking the City of Los Angeles from Long Beach. We visited a lot of places, saw a lot of sights and had great food. I only wish we could have spent more time at the places we visited but I also know it was a day paced full. You can only do so much in 8 hours. Cruise guide was very knowledgeable of the area, kept to the schedule while still allowing enough time to explore. His jokes were also funny. I would definitely recommend this tour to others.

Our tour guide was awesome, we stopped at several places and he gave us very reasonable amounts of time to view the sites. He was very personable and knew a lot about the city of LA.

Griffith Park Observatory. I generally enjoyed all the venues, and really appreciated the transportation from the cruise ship to LAX.

Our ability to provide something to do for people disembarking from cruise ships early in the morning and getting to the airport for their late afternoon or evening flights has become a very popular addition to our tours. Four stars because this tour was perfect for us and what we needed for the day coming off of a cruise and waiting for our evening flight. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We did find the actual tour lacking and the visits to the spots too quick or too long… Loved the theaters and the insider history. The first stop was to the first LA and market… that wasn’t completely open yet - would have been a great stop for lunch! Lunch was to Mel’s and then we drove down Rodeo Dr. and out to Venice Beach - we would have loved to stay here longer too! If you have mobility issues it’s mostly driving so walking wouldn’t be needed much but the van could be a struggle.

Thanks for your review. I have shared it with your guide, Gabriel and he expressed his appreciation for what you have said. As you probably noticed by the time you got to the airport, Los Angeles is a big place and attractions are many and spread out over many miles. We face many obstacles with which attractions we visit, how we will show it off, and how we will incorporate it in a logical trip with as little overlapping or retracing routes. The market (Olvera Street) starts opening at 10AM which makes it impractical for a lunch stop, about 2 hours into the tour. We reach Mel's in West Hollywood at around noon. Also, Olvera Street has only one small restaurant and offers a Mexican menu which does not off the variety of Mel's menu. Our tour provides a sampling of many of the attractions Los Angels offers following a logical sequential route. Thank you again for your review.
